On this episode of Blunt Force Truth, Chuck and Mark welcome Reverend Gerald Palmer. Rev. Palmer is a Licensed and Ordained Minister, social worker, educator, and social activist. He brings a different perspective that challenges Chuck and Mark’s viewpoints.

Chuck and Mark start off by finding out more about Rev. Palmer’s beliefs, and why he believes the red MAGA hats can cause some groups of people to question the message. They discuss the views of President Trump by both sides of the political spectrum and where they stem from. Their discussion has some tense moments as they discuss racism and issues we have today.

They continue by finding out some of the reasons that Rev. Palmer is not a supporter of President Trump. They discuss these issues and explain their differing viewpoints. Chuck and Mark find out about some of the individuals that Rev. Palmer admires and why those people stand out to him.

As they finish up today’s show, they discuss the so-called switch of parties and the passing of civil rights laws. They discuss the issues with the slow process of civil rights laws that continue today. Rev. Palmer explains issues that he has experienced with race today. They discuss privilege for all races and how people are judged on things they have no control over.

Dr. Peter Ward spent almost three decades with the United States Geological Survey and has come out of retirement to try to understand what really causes global warming.

They kick off the show by discussing the problems with climate scientists reporting the correlation and causation and how this has put the blame on greenhouse gasses. Dr. Ward explains how the use of CFC gases during the 70s and 80s played a significant role in weakening our atmosphere.

Their conversation continues as Dr. Ward explains why he does not except the belief that CO2 and other greenhouse gases are the cause of climate change. He also explains the significant impact that volcano eruptions have on climate change, which is usually ignored during climate change debates.

Chuck and Mark break down Dr. Ward’s explanation of why much of the scientific study of climate change is not looking at the causation. They also explain how many scientists have just accepted the same beliefs on climate change to gain acceptance within the scientific community and to protect their project funding.

They finish up by discussing the how the true crisis today is not the climate but the scientists. They discuss how difficult it is to gain support from scientists in the field and how Dr. Ward’s findings are ignored for reasons outside of his scientific findings.

He worked 27 years with the United States Geological Survey as research geophysicist, branch chief, and program manager. He helped develop and manage a major national research program, chaired a committee at the White House, testified twice before Congress, worked on a committee for Vice President Gore, was lead author on more than 50 scientific papers, and won two national awards for explaining science to the general public. He retired in 1998. In 2006, Ward discovered several enigmatic observations related to climate change and has dedicated his life since then, at his own expense, trying to understand what really causes global warming.
