Listen Later

We're kicking off the week with a bonus episode of The West End Frame Show!

Andrew is joined by writer & actor Tom Ratcliffe, producer Jamie Lambert and director Benji Sperring.

Tom Ratcliffe's latest play Wreckage is running at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Directed by Rikki Beadle-Blair MBE, Tom is starring in the play alongside Michael Walters (The Inheritance).

Tom previously received rave reviews at the Fringe for his one-person play Velvet. Another of his plays, Evelyn, recently completed its London run at the Southwark Playhouse starring Rula Lenska.

Wreckage runs at Sumerhall 3rd - 28th August. Visit www.tickets.edfringe.com for info and tickets.

Jamie Lambert is one half of producing team Lambert Jackson Productions and one fourth of Britain’s Got Talent winning musical theatre vocal group Collabro.

His latest production, along with Eliza Jackson and Aria Entertainment, is Cruise which premiered last year at the Duchess Theatre and was nominated for an Olivier Award. The show, which is written by and stars Jack Holden, is returning to the West End for a run at the Apollo Theatre this Summer.

Having previously produced Songs for a New World at the London Palladium during the pandemic, Lambert Jackson are also producing the upcoming concert of The Secret Garden at the Palladium.

Cruise runs at the Apollo Theatre 13th August - 4th September. Visit www.cruisetheplay.co.uk for info and tickets.

Benji Sperring is directing the European premiere of Yeast Nation at the Southwark Playhouse. From the writers of Urinetown - Greg Kotis & Mark Hollmann - Yeast Nation is described as a "bonkers" musical about a colony of yeast 3.5 billion years ago.

Some of Benji’s directing credits include How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying (Wilton’s), Shock Treatment (King’s Head) and Toxic Avenger (Arts Theatre).

Yeast Nation runs at the Southwark Playhouse until 27th August. Visit www.southwarkplayhouse.co.uk for info and tickets.
