Keith Ramsay is playing Peanut in the UK premiere of Shucked.

Following its run on Broadway, Shucked has opened at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre directed by Jack O'Brien. The show has book by Robert Horn, music and lyrics by Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally.

Keith won The Stage Edinburgh Award for Acting Excellence and David Johnson Award for Emerging Talent for Eve: All About Her.

It's the 300th episode and Tony winner Jerry Mitchell is back In The Frame!

Jerry has worked extensively as a director and choreographer in both the West End and on Broadway.

He is currently nominated for Best Choreography at this year’s Tony Awards for his production of BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical - with music by David Foster - which is running to acclaim on Broadway. Meanwhile in London Jerry’s production of The Devil Wears Prada - with music by Elton John - is playing the Dominion Theatre and last year his production of Becoming Nancy had a regional run at the Birmingham Rep.

Jerry is one of the producers for the upcoming off-West End run of the brand-new musical King of Pangea which opens at the King's Head Theatre in June. Written by Martin Storrow and directed by Richard Israel, King of Pangea follows Sam Crow following the loss of his relentlessly hopeful mother as he escapes to the imaginary island of his childhood. 

As a director and choreographer, some more of Jerry's shows have included Legally Blonde, Kinky Boots, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Pretty Woman. He directed On Your Feet and choreographed Hairspray.

Jerry has won the Tony Award for Best Choreography twice for his work on La Cage aux Folles and Kinky Boots. Additionally he received the Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award in 2023 in recognition of his support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (largely through creating Broadway Bares).

Jerry was last In The Frame five years ago and is back for our special 300th episode!

Jerry kicks off the episode with a discussion about why he's producing King Of Pangea and the challenges of bringing new musicals to the stage in 2025.

Jerry also talks all-things BOOP!, including the development of the show and casting Jasmine Amy Rogers. He reflects on how he approached The Devil Wears Prada, after he took the helm following the show's original staging in the US. Jerry also chats about Becoming Nancy's journey and whether we can expect future life for the show. Plus lots more pops up along the way!

Lucie-Mae Sumner is playing Winifred Banks in Mary Poppins.

The show is back on tour across the UK & Ireland, following its most recent runs in the West End and Australia. Mary Poppins has original music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman with new songs and additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. The book is by Julian Fellowes and the production is co-created by Cameron Mackintosh. 

Lucie-Mae has a long history with Mary Poppins; she has previously performed with the show in the West End and on its UK and international tours as the understudy or standby for Mary. Lucie-Mae has now transitioned into the role of Winifred Banks for the show's current run.

Most recently Lucie-Mae starred as Kathy Seldon in Singin' in the Rain (Kilworth House) and Ella in I Should Be So Lucky: The Stock Aitken Waterman Musical (UK Tour).

Kellie Shirley is playing Joy in the London revival of Parlour Song by Jez Butterworth at the Greenwich Theatre.

Jaz Robinson is starring as Catherine of Aragon in the West End production of Six.

Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, Six has direction by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage with choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille. Six was first performed in London in 2017, and is now the winner of over 35 international awards including two Tonys.

Jaz is from Toronto, Canada. Her credits include: Featured Vocalist in Christmas on Ice (Niagara Fallsview Casino) and Lead Vocalist for Royal Caribbean Cruises and Carnival Cruise Line.

In 2022 Jaz made her West End debut in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical (Aldwych Theatre). She first joined Six in 2023, playing Catherine of Aragon in the original Canadian production (Royal Alexandra Theatre) and now she’s reprising her performance in London!

Recorded in Jaz's dressing room backstage at the Vaudeville Theatre, in this episode Jaz discusses her journey with Six and what it's like to play Catherine of Aragon. She also talks about her path into theatre and moving from Toronto to London.

Charlie Burn is starring as Cady Heron in the West End production of Mean Girls.

Having premiered on Broadway in 2018, Mean Girls opened in London last year. Tina Fey adapted the show from her 2004 film, collaborating with Jeff Richmond who composed the music and Nell Benjamin who wrote the lyrics. The show is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw. 

Charlie’s other theatre credits include playing Cosette in Les Misérables on tour and in the West End as well as touring arenas in Disney 100: The Concert.

Tori Allen-Martin is In The Frame!

Tori is currently playing Cass and others in the premiere of Midnight Cowboy at Southwark Playhouse Elephant.

Based on the novel by James Leo Herlihy which was adapted into the 1969 film, Midnight Cowboy has a book by Bryony Lavery and music by Francis “Eg” White who has written songs for Adele, Sam Smith, Florence + The Machine and James Morrison. The production is directed and choreographed by Nick Winston, with Tori starring alongside Paul Jacob French and Max Bowden as Joe Buck and Rico ‘Ratzo’ Rizzo.

Last year Tori starred as Kristin in I Wish You Well at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and in the West End. Some of her other theatre credits include: Samuel Takes A Break (The Yard Theatre), Then, Now and Next (Southwark Playhouse), Park Bench (Park Theatre), One Man, Two Guvnors (New Wolsey, Ipswich/Nuffield Southampton), The Season (Glass Half Full Productions and Tim Johanson), The Hardest One (The Other Palace/Criterion) and Hair (Concert).

On screen, Tori is best known for her performances in Here We Go (BBC), London Kills (BBC) and Pure (Channel 4). Her further screen credits include: Mrs Sidhu Investigates (Acorn), Significant Other (Hatrick), Plebs: The War (the finale) (Rise films), The Other Half (Ranga Bee Productions), Flatshare (42 for Paramount+), Back To Life (Two Brothers Pictures) and Pandemonium (BBC). 

Tori is also an established writer. She has co-created and produced multiple new musicals, including Streets (Cockpit Theatre/Hackney Empire).

Kerry Ellis is In The Frame!

Kerry is preparing to perform her latest solo show Queen Of The West End at the Vaudeville Theatre on 21st April as part of Westway Music’s season of concerts. Later in the year Kerry is taking the show on another extensive tour of the UK.

In August Kerry is uniting with two other iconic Elphabas – Rachel Tucker and Louise Dearman – for a one-night-only West End concert Gravity at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Kerry originated the role of Meat in We Will Rock You and is celebrated for being the first British Elphaba in the West End and Broadway productions of Wicked.

A few of Kerry's other theatre roles have included Grizabella in Cats (London Palladium), Nancy in Oliver (Theatre Royal Drury Lane), Ellen in Miss Saigon (UK Tour), Fantine in Les Miserables (Queen's Theatre), understudy Eliza in My Fair Lady (Theatre Royal Drury Lane), Sara in Murder Ballad (Arts Theatre), Alice in Wonderland (UK Tour) and Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest (UK Tour).

More recently Kerry played Reno Sweeney in the London revival of Anything Goes (Barbican Centre), Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Stafford Gatehouse) and Cruella in 101 Dalmatians (Theatre Royal Brighton). Earler this year she starred as Elizabeth in the UK premiere of If/Then In Concert at the Savoy Theatre.

Alongside her theatre work, Kerry has a major concert and recording career; she has released albums and toured the world, regularly collaborating with Brian May from Queen.
