The Bookalicious Sisters revisit the beautiful world of Marsyas Island by TJ Klune as recommended by one of our listeners (We see you Defy Gravity/Guy35!)

While met with familiar faces, there is a tonal shift in TJ's writing - one of frustration and hurt that seeps through these chapters. To better understand where TJ is coming from, Candice prepares background material that TJ references throughout the book (links below for Spotify users!)

We do our best to discuss these very heavy topics, but we might not get it 100% right! If you think we missed something please let us know [email protected]

Join the sisters as they wrap up The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine! We laugh, we cry, we talk about how great Vollys is as a villain, how crazy Addie and Rhys' relationship is, and how much we love the sisters. We read reviews on Reddit and Goodreads and disagree any that aren't perfect 5's. 1 listen = 1 vote for turning this into a Gail exclusive podcast.

We hope you enjoy this book as much as we did! Join us next week for TJ Klune 2.0: Somewhere Beyond the Sea

We're completing the trifecta and reading one of our other childhood classics from our favorite, Gail Carson Levine! This book is under-appreciated but we think it's our favorite one yet. Join us as we talk all things Bamarre, including: Is Addie's solution to "think positive thoughts" enough to cure cancer? Why is Meryl such a toot? Red flag or deal breaker for our hunky sorcerer Rhys? And our vocab game, What do you Le-Mean?

Plus, we chat about Chrissy's school update, the top secret lab at Candi's alma mater that was housed in an entirely glass building, and Chrissy's adventure in a stairwell. Thanks for joining our club!

THIS IS NOT AN AUDIO BOOK

Join the Bookalicious girlies for Part 1 of Sarah J. Maas’ best selling novel A Court of Throne & Roses which came highly recommended from Friend of Pod - Lexi!

The sisters postulate why this series is considered YA when it feels more A. Candice’s final assessment is that due to Feyre being insufferable, the series was classified as YA. Feyre is SO insufferable Chrissy wonders if she actually likes YA or if she only likes John Greene.
