The twilight is legendary. It is the first blue moon since 1944 and it arrives at Princeton University on October 31, 2020. And in this moment, you realize, I take you to a place where your mind becomes a book. It is the story of Kingfisher, a savior for Black mankind and Mama, the voice of the lullaby that cries to save him from the knee of the police like George Floyd. Mama cries to protect his life and his breath…

And YOU the reader participate in a special quest…

Faced with the following instructions for a quest, YOU, the protagonist, embark on an unexpected journey through the words and life of this book. And YOU discover the power of a Mama’s lullaby and the release of a ransom that leads to the redemption of Kingfisher: a part man and dragon fish-like beast held captive at Princeton University’s Seventy-Nine Hall.

For Kingfisher holds the sacred key to Black humanity’s history out of slavery and unjust policing as in the death of George Floyd making the silent voices of time finally heard.

  • LOVE AND HONOUR?: Marriage for Peace by David D.E. Evans

This book exposes the ongoing phenomenon of Romeo and Juliet style romance tragedy; families killing their own and others’ daughters, sons, sisters, and brothers in the name of family “honour”.

Focused on Northern India and Nepal, the stories illustrate that despite India adopting a democratic constitution in 1950, the public murder of forbidden lovers continues. Media reports of this phenomenon did not surface until 1993 but have increased dramatically since then.

Using stories of murder and suicide in this context, the author provides insightful commentary on the social pressures behind the practice of “honour” killing and suggests “steppingstones” toward a path of progress from murder to reconciliation, to acceptance, and ultimately, to marriage for peace.

When repairs forced his ship to the rugged shore of Newcastle, the young French naval officer is invited to a tea dance. He seizes the opportunity hoping to find comfort and a small taste of home. Amelia Sullivan, the daughter of Irish immigrant parents, is thrilled to be attending the tea dance. When Sebastian’s eyes find her in the crowd, he drinks in her exotic beauty. Moments later as he draws her into his arms for a dance, there is no doubt in his mind that he has just met the woman of his dreams. Days later, Sebastian professes his love and marries her, sending them both on an unforgettable journey through betrayal, survival, and forgiveness.

Their soul-searching journey not only takes the reader from England’s coast to the French Riviera, but also to Tennessee. Their journey explores the many facets and depths of love leading to the realization of what true happiness means.

The story continues in AMAZING GRACE by Christiane Banks

Amazing Grace continues the multi-faceted, compelling saga of the Lavalle family as their tapestry weaves ordinary events with extraordinary circumstances.

It is Christmas 1975 as Sebastian Lavalle sits at the dining room table, surrounded by his family, finally reunited after a six-year absence. Although his beautiful wife, Amelia, is now gone, her exuberance shines from within his two grandchildren. As Sebastian joins his children in raising a glass to his late wife, his eyes fill with tears.

He does not know it yet, but three years from that Christmas, he will return to France and purchase the old stone house and property his parents once owned. As Sebastian’s childhood home in France becomes a part of his life, the Lavalle family experiences crippling miner strikes, the Falklands War, and severe recessions.

When his daughter, Abby, eventually follows her heart to the United States, she is reunited with her soulmate, the young Father Gabriel. As she embarks on a fascinating journey into the unknown, she meets Byron Grant, a world-famous magician, his wife and children, and Byron’s dear friend, Dr Andrew Mason, a divorced father of two.

As both men and their families reach out to Abby for different reasons, she finds love in the most unexpected place of all.

  • BLUE SCORPION: Last Flight of the Ancients by Karen S. Lee

Few women in Simas would take up hard labor, and very few could wield a weapon. So, when Evanna settled in the outpost, Drone, standing up to the warlord Salem’s men with a weapon and earning her living as a blacksmith, she drew the attention of many from near and far.

Among those who heard of her renown was the crown prince of Simas and his high knight who were traveling the area on another assignment. Their unexpected visit to Drone brought about changes in fortune for this forlorn outpost. Evanna took on a commission upon their invitation in the royal palace for the king’s birthday. In the palace, she forged friendships with the jovial Sir Torias, the playful but mysterious Sir Matthias, and the noble Sir Endor. She also  learned the story of her past. In the city, she met an old beggar who had the blood of the Nephilim in him, sitting at the palace gates.

But the wheels of the age were turning fast, and things were not always as they appeared. A seemingly diplomatic visit from a princess of the neighboring kingdom of Adar turned into an encounter with the murderer of Evanna’s mother many years ago. The thwarting of the Adarian coup was only the beginning of revelations of the terrible plans of an ancient enemy who most thought was dead.

As Simas and its allies become embroiled in the war, Evanna returns to the remnant of her people to raise them to battle and revive the old alliances. Leading five Simasian representatives through the forest into the mountains where her people were hiding, the secret that Evanna had been keeping is finally revealed. And with this alliance, she journeys to battle the twisted plot of deception and bloodshed that would unravel in the very city where she was the rightful queen.

She has been a mother, wife, journalist, consultant, activist, leader, and businesswoman domestically and internationally. In sharing her story, Sujata strives to provide readers of all backgrounds in any part of the world with real life examples on how to deal with the unpredictable nature of everyday life.

Do you live in the jungle with animals? Or do you live in a civilized society? Are you a victim or a survivor? Survive and protect yourself from gender discrimination, culture bias, bullying within the home, educational setting or professional workplace. Have you experienced mental, verbal, physical, emotional, exploitation, rape or all kinds of sexual abuse? If you are living in any of these situations, this book is for you.

Trapped or stifled in an unhappy marriage, patent-child discord, years of working for bad bosses, compromise on a daily basis. Are you a prisoner of the moment? Do you want to run away? Feel suicidal? Politics of the Universe, society. Don’t let it shackle you.

When you are pushed to the wall, push back. When you have nothing to lose then give yourself that one chance and take a courageous step. Don’t give up. It’s hard, very hard but courage and self-belief will open doors.

Gather inspiration from my journey and trust me you can do it. All of us can be leaders. All we have to do is nudge that dormant factor. Giving in is easy. Tenacity and resilience are words to describe that one moment when you decide to take action, even if it is swimming against the tide or against all odds. No matter what the problem, I am your partner to overcome the challenge and turn it into a steppingstone to progress. Leaders walk the talk and should be accessible to make a difference in people’s lives. Money cannot do that. Care can. Do you care for yourself or others? I care for others.
