    Your help is needed.

    ·      Stop by for tea and a chat if that is all you can do.

    ·      Stop by and let the caregiver go shopping alone for an hour or two. (Oh, how I loved that opportunity!)

    ·      Stay overnight or for a weekend to allow the caregiver a real break to wind down, get a massage or stay in a hotel alone to sleep as late as needed/wanted the next morning.

    ·      Plan together as a family. Make a casserole to help your beloved mother or father so that they don’t have to cook once or twice a week.

    ·      Invite your loved one and their caregiver to your home for lunch or supper for as long as they are able to visit.

    ·      If you are adept at paperwork, help the caregiver sort through the quagmire of forms they have to deal with.

    ·      Help in the search for a long-term care facility so the caregiver doesn’t have to bear the whole burden.

    ·      Sometimes there is only a daughter or a son to help out. They need a break too. Extended family, be aware and help out where you can.

  • 2020? and Breaking the Poverty Mindset by Dr. Marietta Brown

    2020?
Many people view 2020 as the worst year of their life. Dr. Brown believes the scripture states, “death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits” (Proverbs 18:21 ESV).

    Breaking the Poverty Mindset

This dynamic, thought-provoking book focuses on breaking generational curses over your finances. Not owning any property, no investments, no savings, living a limited life, or no resources can pass down from one generation to the next. This is not the will of God for your life. God’s plan is for each successive generation to prosper better in every area of their lives. It is a cycle that starts with one generation and is passed down to the next.

After struggling so much financially as a young married couple, loving and faithful to God, Dr. Brown began to seek the truth of God’s Word to break the spirit mentality of spiritual and natural lack and generational curses from my mother’s and father’s house.

  • TWISTED ROOTS, STANDING TALL: My Journey to Heal, Learn, and Rise from the Trauma of Childhood Sexual Abuse by Anne de Nada

Childhood sexual abuse is the most traumatic of all wounds, for it is a betrayal at the very root of our being. It turns us against ourselves in such a way that, more often than not, victims become convinced that the fault is theirs. To find a way back from that injury, to prevail and rise above it, is to do the seemingly impossible.

In Twisted Roots, Standing Tall, the author recounts her long dance from the darkness of the soul into the love and light of an open heart, as she courageously heeds her soul’s insistence and clears away her legacy of trauma from both infant sexual abuse and incest.

Born into both emotional and economic poverty, the author’s early life consisted of many obstacles and challenges. But she never gave up. She continually trusted in her own guidance, being rewarded with insight and wisdom. Whenever it felt like her life was not flowing, she took that as a sign that it was time to do more healing, clearing away the trauma that lay embedded deep in cellular memory.

Anne’s story speaks to the gift of grace and the indomitable courage of the human heart. As she continued to heal, she discovered many essential truths about life. Among them is that we are never given something we cannot handle. Life is about manifesting the deepest desires of our hearts, and that the thing we most fear is our own greatness.

The author’s philosophy rests on two tenets:

    1. Exploring One’s Inner Landscape

Exploring one’s inner landscape allows us to awaken ourselves and discover our genius and create our true potential.

    2. Facilitating and Validating the Healing Journey

Facilitating and confirming the healing journey from trauma allows one to travel a path to discover their greatest gift-the gift of validating our own self. We each are our own creators of our lives moving towards happiness or its opposite.

What if Adam, Eve, death, murder, debt, wars, and even the last days of Jesus were all part of a common biblical pattern? Have you ever asked why God did something a certain way?

In The Sin Paradox, author D. B. Evans shares his revelatory answers to a number of important questions he asked to God-who late one night answered him in a whispered word.

Those questions included:·      What did Adam and Eve do? ·      What kind of fruit did they eat? ·      Why did Satan take the form of a serpent? ·      Why did Satan do it? ·      Why did Jesus have to die? Why did he have to die the way he did? ·      Why did the last days of Jesus’s life play out the way they did? ·      How does the sinful act of Adam and Eve permeate all of subsequent human existence and actions, such as wars, debt, greed, and all the other sins humankind experiences? ·      Could the sin committed in Eden still be happening today?

What if all these questions could be answered within a common biblical thread? The Sin Paradox provides a case against Adam, Eve, and the Serpent-not of guilt or innocence of those involved, but of whether the evidence points to the actual crime they committed.
