Alberta Premier Jason Kenney openly saying "we care about money more than your children" isn't the straw that broke the camel's back as it were, but it's high-time someone take him to task and put this out there so people know how truly terrible and reprehensible he is, and why he should be tossed from office in the next election.
I don't hate Elon Musk for his success, but I definitely find the hero-worship of him problematic. The man is far closer to a supervillain than a superhero, and it's time more people recognize that.
Apparently more moderates and leftists are arming themselves. Sadly, this means they're lacking training while the militia and the cops who work with them aren't. These are dangerous times, and I'm seeing concerning levels of overconfidence in some circles. Please, stay safe out there and protect your fellows.
So Canada is in a tizzy about protesters in Montreal tearing down a statue of Sir John A. MacDonald, our first Prime Minister. Some are crying that it's "erasing history" which is interesting, because it's clear they don't know it themselves.
I wanted to elaborate on some of the themes I brought up in my Beau of the Fifth Column parody, but in my style and without an atrocious fake accent. The lack of support for the people working 24/7 to keep society together while the wealthy make record profits while doing literally nothing is infuriating.
So today we're gonna talk about sandwiches...
This is a parody of Beau of the Fifth Column, and the reason why this was made is because of a Twitter post he made last night. A user said "Beau could be like: 'Here's how you make a sandwich. You get some bread and put some cheese or whatever on it and there you go, a sandwich!' And I'd be like: 'Oh, right, I get it... you're talking about fascism, right?'" Beau then admitted that because of this comment, he had been trying to come up with a sandwich-fascism analogy for 40 minutes. Here's your analogy, good sir.
Seriously though, I want to stress again that this is a parody and not a mockery. Beau is one of the best BreadTube has to offer and if you haven't seen his videos, I strongly encourage you to check out his channel below.
Here in Canada, much of the news is dominated by how the nation moves forward with students going back to school. I find the discussion very narrow, and we're not being creative and forward-thinking in a time that demands innovation and creativity from us.
Nestle is a terrible and exploitative company that is committing abuses around the world in a variety of industries, all the while making record profit. It's high time we start paying attention and boycotting them.
So a few weeks ago, I and others hopped into Jolah's discord so we could discuss whether the Left should vote for Biden or abstain and vote Third Party or something. It was a great debate all around. I was in the 'Vote Biden' camp, and this video is the highlight reel of my thoughts and perspectives on the situation.
There's a surprise clip at the end for those of you who watch to the end, or cheat by reading this description and clicking to the end. :P Either way, I hope everyone enjoys this! A big shoutout to Jolah for hosting this livestream. He's got some great content. Go show him some love!
"And then things got worse" seems to be a fitting summary for 2020 so far. In the wake of an unarmed black man being shot in the back 7 times by cops, there were riots. In response to those, the alt-right came out and now at least two protesters are dead with several more injured. I thought the police were supposed to "serve and protect" and catch criminals and murderers. Since that clearly isn't the case, it really calls into question their function and purpose.
