Carter and I are joined by Chris Ruhland and we discuss the TATER bottles from Buffalo Trace Distillery.  We have a list of 5 that we came up with as the most tater.  These are not unicorns, these getable but not on the shelf.  Then we each came up with our replacement bottle and its a fun discussion and conversation.  It's very noticeable that each of our approach to this execise was different.

Chris Shepherd - James Beard Award winning Chef joins the show to talk food.  We have a fun conversation with Chris, talking his start in food to Underbelly Hospitality that he founded.  Chris takes the foods and cooking techniques from the diverse communities that we have in Houston and blends those with his cooking to create some of the best restaurants in the country.  We also talk about Southern Smoke Foundation www.southernsmoke.org which has had a tremendous impact on the Houston community and now across the United States since its inception in 2015.  

We get into foods from our early years, foods Chris loves and thinks are under utilized and foods he can't stand, like the devils fruit, the avocado.  It's a fun conversation, give it a listen.

The Top 5 is back.  On this Top 5 Carter, Dave and myself have created our list of Top 5 breakfasts.  These are complete meals that we enjoy, Carter may add a beverage.  Nothing is off limits but these meals are when we want to indulge with a big breakfast.  A lot of laughs as we go through our list and surprisingly only a couple of meals that were on multiple lists.

We have decided to start a new series, it's our TOP 5.  This is the first episode in this series, here we discuss both Carter and my top 5 lists for overrated food chains and top 5 food & beverage pairings.  

Food chains are not limited to fast food, it can be any chain that sells something you eat.  It doesn't have to be national, it can be regional. 

Food & Beverage pairings are a single food with a beverage, anything goes.
