  • Season 2x09: Psychosis and OCD: My 1 Year Anniversary Of My Diagnosis, And How Far I've Come

    Send us Fan Mail

It's only fair, that i give you guys an update on how i've managed from my traumatic experience being diagnosed with Psychosis, with it turning out to be OCD.

Come join me on this episode as i talk about how i turned my struggles into tools to help me manage and motivate me and really light that fire under my butt to keep on working so that I can keep living.

Living with mental health disorder should not be a death sentence, but rather, it should be seen as a cape, because for most of us who are diagnosed, we tend to be more compassionate towards others, and it is this very compassion that this cape is allowing us to spread towards others.

Let's all continue to keep working with each other and lifting each other up.

  • Season 2x08: Working and Living Overseas: How You Can Learn And Grow From The Experience

    Send us Fan Mail

To everyone who's worked overseas! To educators! To those wondering how life is like somewhere else, this one's for you!

Day 2 of our Mental Health Awareness Week Special!

Today i have 2 of whom i consider my closest friends in the entire universe, Paul and Henry, talk about  their experiences teaching in the U.K.

Different ways of teaching and what they describe as "teaching bootcamp" may have deterred others from pursuing teaching further, but the perseverance that they both showcased and their amazing and anxiety ridden time living/learning to integrate in a different country while balancing their careers have developed them into the men they are now.

I hope you guys had a blast listening to this as much as I have, and if you have any questions for Paul, Henry, or myself, or if you would like to get on the show, please email me at

To kick off Mental Health Awareness Week, I have a great friend of mine, Sam, who worked for a big scale company, whose climb to the top of the ladder was immediately halted by an unfavourable situation. Join us on a very enlightening and important talk and hear how she bravely speaks out about her truth, about how it pushed her on the brink of suicide, and how she managed to persevere.

If you or anyone you know have any questions for myself or for Sam, email me at [email protected]

  • Season 2x06: Self Love 2 : A 270Lb Weight Loss Journey and How Self Love Solidified Her Win

    Send us Fan Mail

It's always about "omg you lost so much weight congrats", but never "omg your discipline and resilience is so inspiring" am I right?!

Diana shares her amazing journey with her weight loss, and how she navigated through her life living outside society's "norm" in terms of body size.

She talks about the importance of how self love was able to get her through the darkest of times. We also talk about the effect on how others perceived her, and how she was able to handle the adversities she was thrown at by her "peers" with grace, class, and love.

She also talks about what it's like to be in a new "body" and the way she has to adapt to her new life.

There is no shortage of lessons on this episode thanks to Diana being amazingly open and vulnerable enough to be able to show her struggle and just how this struggle strengthened her into the person that she is now.

  • Season 2x04: A Conversation with a Pastor on Depression, Mental Health, and Religion

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode, the amazing Paul Calcote, Pastor and host of Real People, Real Talk, joins us and offers us insight on his journey and bout with depression , and how mental health issues are dealt with in his religious community. His views and the way he intertwined his religion with mental health issues and how he is able to help those suffering from said issues, is admirable and inspiring, and I wish that , regardless of which religion you believe in, you will be able to feel some sort of acceptance from the way that Paul doesn't shy away from dealing with mental health issues using his tools as a Pastor.

I am so grateful that Paul was open to so many things and was able to share his experiences, because he will be back to talk more about religion and mental health. This episode alone barely scratched the surface on how different views on mental health from differing religions really impact each individual, and we would LOVE to have you guys hop on and have a conversation with us!

  • Season 2x03: Dealing with Death And It's Effect On Our Mental Health

    Send us Fan Mail

Death is never an easy thing to deal with. But have we truly looked into ourselves whenever we have dealt with loss, and asked ourselves, have we made peace with OURSELVES, for how we feel about the person that passed, rather than have we made peace with them?

I talk about my own journey with my loss of my best friend and my grandfather, and how my therapist allowed me to see that i held on to my guilt and my shame, and this made my life significantly harder.
