Surviving abuse is so very difficult, however, breaking the cycle of that abuse is even more challenging. When we experience trauma at the hands of our abusers, our brains begin to change. We react to situations differently than we did before. Today I talk about how to break the cycle of abuse and how abuse has affected my own family. Abuse is never ok. We should always seek help when we know that abuse is occurring. You can heal. The first step is to acknowledge the abuse. We then have to work through the emotional pain that lingers once the abuse stops. You can heal. I’m here to help you.
