Pawel and his wife, Ewa, migrated to Ireland and then to Canada. They bought their primary residence in Canada, which was a "do-upper," and renovated it from top to bottom. With four years of appreciation and forced appreciation, he sold the primary residence and leveraged the returns to purchase seven rental units and another primary residence. Within the next two years, he managed to grow his portfolio to nearly 20 units in the Ontario and Alberta markets.
