For this edition of Brewstilled, it’s a recap of the Sunday slate of games for Week 1 of the 2024 NFL Season and The House of The Lombardi. The House of The Lombardi teams who played on Sunday had mixed results with some concerns also emerging. The Atlanta Falcons had a tough loss against the Pittsburg Steelers and Kirk Cousins had a tough game. Will Michael Penix Jr. replace Kirk Cousins before the season is over? The Jaguars lost to the Dolphins although potential does remain with Jacksonville. The Cowboys contract drama with Dak Prescott came to end as Prescott is now the highest paid player in NFL history. This was followed by a statement win for the Cowboys. Baker Mayfield also had a big game. Could Baker Mayfield be a sleeper MVP candidate? Jim Harbaugh also won in his debut game as the Los Angeles Chargers head coach against the Raiders, which had a player brawl. Could the Chargers and Raiders engage in a heated rivalry? How do the Raiders bounce back from their loss? The Lions and the Rams also faced off in a high stakes Sunday Night Football game. I’ll be discussing all this here on Brewstilled with a Double IPA from Alchemist Brewing as the beer pairing. It’s all here on Brewstilled!

For this episode of Brewstilled, it’s the start of the 2024 NFL Season and the House of The Lombardi. I’ll be recapping the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Baltimore Ravens are a member for this year’s edition for the House of The Lombardi, and they’re off to a rough start. We saw the Ravens lose in a rather anti climatic thriller against Kansas City in a game the Ravens should have won.  There are now several questions surrounding the Ravens after this loss. Why can’t Lamar Jackson beat Kanas City? What’s holding back the Ravens? Can they bounce back in week 2? All this and more will be discussed on this edition of Brewstilled as the 2024 NFL Season and the House of the Lombardi begins. A German Style Pilsner from Elder Pine Brewing and Blending is on tap for the beer pairing. It’s all here on Brewstilled!

In this edition of Brewstilled, it’s the 2024 NFL Season predictions episode as I’ll be making my bold predictions for the 2024 NFL Season. The 2024 NFL Season is less than 2 weeks away and it’ll be a season filled with numerous storylines. As with any NFL season comes the speculation and with that speculation come the predictions. The predictions in this episode are bold and if they come to pass they could alter the pathway of the 2024 NFL season and also beyond. I’ll make predictions on players, coaches, league issues and I’ll also be making my prediction for the 2024 NFL Season Super Bowl. An IPA from Track 7 Brewing Co. is on tap for the beer pairing. For this episode of Brewstilled, I’ll be discussing lingering NFL storylines that dominated week 2 of the NFL preseason before the regular season begins. For week 2 of the preseason, we saw developments in the Trey Lance storyline in his quest to secure a permanent spot on the Dallas Cowboys roster as Dak Prescott’s backup or maybe even more. We also got the answer on who will be the Raiders starting Quarterback for week one. The Mazi Smith story arc for the Dallas Cowboys also continues. Will Mazi Smith secure his status with the Cowboys or will he become a bust? The Quarterback situation with the Atlanta Falcons will also be discussed as Michael Penix Jr. has been benched for the rest of the preseason. Was this done just to appease Kirk Cousins? I’ll also speculate if Aaron Rogers will play in the preseason finale. A Lager from Porchlight Brewing is on tap for the beer pairing.

For this episode of Brewstilled, the road to 40 is over as I’m now 40 years old. It’s now a new decade in my life, a new chapter and a new era for the Brewstilled Podcast. For many age 40 can be seen with anxiety, mystery and excitement. Some may reflect on their 20’s and 30’s and what has yet to occur in their own lives. Yet, time is relative and age 40 is a decade to embrace and enjoy. In this episode, I’ll be reflecting on turning 40, my life in my 30’s, moments that came and what is to come. Now that I’m 40, the journey will become part of the Brewstilled Podcast starting with this episode. A Barrel Aged Barleywine from River North Brewing is the beer pairing. It’s all here on Brewstilled.

For the upcoming 2024 NFL regular season, we’re in the dog days of summer stage and the drama is brewing and distilling. Week 1 of the preseason just concluded, and there are lingering issues for some of this years House of The Lombardi teams. The Cee Dee Lamb contract drama continues with the Dallas Cowboys, but is Jerry Jones the real culprit? Will Cee Dee Lamb hold out into the season? Will Kirk Cousins injury affect his play in the regular season? What will become of Da’Vante Adams? Can Aaron Rogers make a comeback in this year’s NFL season? All this and more will be discussed here on Brewstilled with a Summer style Hazy IPA from Jackrabbit Brewing as the beer pairing. It’s all here on Brewstilled!

For this episode of Brewstilled, I’ll be recapping the Season 2 finale of HBO’s House of The Dragon. For the Season 2 finale, it was anti climatic as the episode was based more on character study and as a preview for what we could see for season 3. We saw the buildup for the war between Team Green and Team Black in this episode with a few of our characters making a last ditch effort for their own respective agendas with some seeking the Iron Throne or to support someone whose seeking it. We also got a very surreal scene in this episode that gave us a reminder of the days of Game of Thrones. I’ll be recapping it here on Brewstilled with a Cold IPA from Black Hammer Brewing as the beer pairing.

For this episode of Brewstilled, it’s a recap of the penultimate of HBO’s House of the Dragon Season 2. For episode 7, we saw some fascinating developments for a character driven episode. Such developments will no doubt pave the way forward for season 2 and likely into season 3. We also saw further divides within Team Green and Team Black. There is no doubt the battle lines are further being drawn and how that impacts the coming season 2 storyline remains to be seen. We saw Alicent embark on a new journey while Daemon might be facing a day of reckoning. For Rhaenyra she may have found some momentum. I’ll be recapping it here on Brewstilled, with an IPA from Russian River Brewing as the beer pairing. It’s all here on Brewstilled.

For this episode of Brewstilled, it’s a recap of HBO’s House of The Dragon episode 6 from Season 2. For episode 6, we saw shifting alliances, sudden betrayals, and sporadic outbreaks of violence in the season 2 storyline. With just 2 episodes left in season 2, the quest for the Iron Throne is escalating as Team Green and Team Black look for a way to win the war by all means. Is Daemon losing his mind and can he raise an army? Is Rhaenyra losing faith? As for Alicent, what’s next? I’ll be discussing these issues and more here on Brewstilled with a West Coast IPA from Jackrabbit Brewing as the beer pairing. It’s all here on Brewstilled!
