Brian speaks with Danica Stanciu about volunteering to travel to and work in Ukraine because of the Russian invasion. Originally from Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Danica Stanciu resides in Washington DC, where she built a career in business-to-business sales, working in information technology, health care and the media industries. She is also a mom to two children, Nicolas and Elena, both of whom are in university. She returned a few weeks ago from Kyiv, Ukraine, where she spent the better part of 6 months volunteering, after leaving her executive role at POLITICO, a DC-based news organization covering politics and policy in Washington, Ottawa and Brussels.
