  • 38 Female Body Facts I Can't Keep Out of My Head Now
Sometimes we forget how unique the human body is. If someone asks you right now about the differences between male and female bodies, you’ll instantly remember only the most obvious one. For example, everybody knows about the incredible endurance of women’s bodies and have heard something about the difference between men and women’s color recognition. But if you take a closer look at the female organism, you can find plenty of other interesting facts that women themselves may not even know about.
Yes, they do distinguish millions of colors. They speak about 20,000 words a day. They are more likely to have hiccups, and they blink more often. Okay, three of these facts about women are true, and one is a gall-durn lie. Let’s check our egos at the door, men, and find out the truth – and why women are superior in some ways to us guys. So, we're about to reveal less noticeable but very curious features of the female body.

  • I Didn't Eat Salt for a Month And Didn't Think So Much Would Change
What will happen if you don't eat salt for a month? You know how they say salt is bad for you? Yeah, I’ve heard that a lot. So I’ve decided to take it to another level and do an experiment with myself as a subject: I’ll spend a month without a single grain of salt entering my body. Let’s see what happens, shall we?
So, I’m going to cut on salt as much as I can. I’ll reduce my sodium intake to the possible minimum. First of all, I’m throwing away all salt I have in my apartment not to get tempted. Secondly, there goes all pastry and processed food. I guess everything that’s left for me are some fruit and veggies along with occasional chicken. By the end of the month we’ll see what happens with my body.

  • How Long Animals Can Live Without Water
What animals can survive without water? No species would exist without water, but some of them can go years without drinking a single drop. They stay hydrated just from the food they eat, while others can absorb liquid directly through their skin. For example. African dwarf frogs cannot survive out of water for longer than 20 minutes! These guys are bad swimmers, and they prefer shallow, slow-moving water where they can swim more easily.

By the way, have you ever wondered how long can humans survive without water? Well, you can go without food for about 2 months but water is a different story. The average human can hold out about three days without water. We satisfy one fifth of our water needs from food, and 80% of our lungs consist of water. So, let’s make it a competition and see which creature will live the longest without water.

  • 50+ Facts About the World I Double Checked
Sometimes we think we know absolutely everything about objects surrounding us. The sky is blue, the sun is yellow, peanuts are nuts. Wait, are they? It turns out, we'd better google something as, otherwise, our knowledge remains incorrect.

  • How Well Different Animals Hear Compare to Us
Every sound you hear comes to you in waves. They start from a vibrating object, like guitar strings, vocal cords, lightning shaking the air, and creating thunder! The number of waves that reach you in a second is the frequency. It’s measured in hertz. The more of those waves you sense, the better your hearing is. For example, octopuses can't hear at all, but they can still pick up vibrations of 400 - 1,000 Hz.
Elephants have a wide range: between 17 - 10,500 Hz. They can even hear the sound of approaching clouds! Humans have a typical range of 20 - 20,000 Hz – anything higher than that is considered ultrasonic. Where you stand will depend on your age. Cows hear almost 2 times better than humans do, sensing a range of 23 - 35,000 Hz! Btw, they say cows produce more milk when listening to classical music! So let's find out how different animals hear and who’s got the best hearing in the animal kingdom!

  • A New Smartphone Trick to Make Your Eyes Fell Less Tired
How to save your eyes from smartphone strain? Imagine sitting all day long with your arms held straight in front of you. You can probably stay like this for half an hour or even more, but then your arms will feel like they’re made of rock. Same with your eyes because they’re also operated by muscles. That's why constantly using your smartphone or computer does make you tired.
The reason why your eyes get tired of too much screen time is in the short wavelength and high intensity of the blue light. You see the sky as blue on a clear day because it’s the color that scatters most easily of all. The same happens when you’re staring at your smartphone or computer screen: the light scatters in all directions, making it hard for you to focus, and your eyes strain to see a clear picture. So how to prevent tired eyes caused by computer and smartphone screens?

  • That's Smartphones Don't Need Antivirus
You're scrolling through your feed and see an ad shouting: "Install antivirus on your phone right now!" Hmmm, you think – my phone isn't protected. Perhaps, I should download this. Yes, unfortunately, not all apps have the best intentions: some programs can collect the data from your phone, share your personal information, and even steal money from your bank account.
But wait. Do phones actually need antivirus programs to reduce potential risks? Yeah, we should figure this out before pressing "install". By the way, which devices are more secure, Android or iOS? Which operating system should you choose if you want to keep your device free of viruses and malware? Let's figure out!

  • To Wake Up Easier, Clench Your Fists And Say “Yeah"
It’s morning. The alarm rings. You wake up feeling tired and push the snooze button. Ten minutes later, it rings again. You're feeling worse now and stay in bed a little longer. Then you realize you're late for work, and finally, get up…exhausted. Sounds familiar? Then this video is for you. How to make waking up easier and force yourself to wake up earlier?
Well, if you wake up tired, the first thing you should do is stop hitting the snooze button! Always get up at the first sound of your alarm clock. It'll be much more difficult to get up after the second, third, or fourth ring. Ten minutes of extra sleep won't make you feel any better. In fact, every time your alarm wakes you up, you experience stress, so don't do it again and again – just turn it off and get up straight away. But there are other ways to banish morning fatigue.
