The thylacine was the largest land predator throughout mainland of Australia. But as humans migrated and brought dingoes, the Thylacine struggled to compete for food and almost disappeared around 2000 years ago. A group of US and Australian scientists have banded together to bring the Thylacine back from extinction. The first step will be to structure its genome. Why did they decide to do it, and will they succeed?

You've always wanted to know how airport security works? All those body scanners, metal detectors and all that. Well, today, I'm going on a long and tiresome flight. And having to spend 10 hours crammed in an economy class seat isn't the only challenge I'll be dealing with. I have to pass through airport security. How about I take you with me, and we'll see how it works from the inside?

So, there are several types of airport security I'm going to go through. The first thing I'll see after I enter the terminal building is a metal detector that uses electromagnetism. You've probably passed hundreds of these in malls, theaters, or stadiums. It's the first and, actually, very basic level of a security check.
