Russ this week caught up with Albion fan and quality sports documentary filmmaker Louis Myles to discuss his excellent new film Croatia: Defining A Nation, which tells the tale of a nation’s emergence from the shadows following the collapse of the former Yugoslavia to reach the main stage of global football in the second half of the 1990s.
Louis also gave his opinions on Albion’s excellent season, his favourite game of the campaign and his thoughts on the talent emerging within the squad.
To watch Louis’s film - and we REALLY recommend you do so - follow this link…

In this extra, Russ caught up with The Anfield Wrap’s Neil Atkinson to find out more about the unsavoury events before and after the Champions League Final in Paris on Saturday.

A long awaited return to our favourite pub this weekend for some tasty beers and chicken tikka pies, the perfect fuel to power us through our review of the season, sun up the rest of the play off picture and report on the shameless scapegoatery infecting the French authorities and UEFA.
Stand or fall! UTA! Fuck the French police!

To finish our coverage of Albion’s 2021-22 campaign we’ve put together a bumper 2 hour episode combining our popular Matchday Special format - comprising an array of the usual suspects plus debutants Pam (Sheebo’s mum) and Malcolm Rose (‘Cheshire’) - with a Zoom-based review the following day, featuring The Gent.

Your regular hosts Russell Guiver & Peter Marsh had a chinwag on Zoom on Friday, looking at the climax to the season featuring the play off semi and their pitch invasion controversies, non league matters, Albion’s final game v Wet Sham upcoming and relegation watch as two of our ‘favourite’ clubs Burnley and Leeds enter a foot race to avoid relegation. How our hearts bleed so!
This episode also features a cameo from friend of the pod Robin.
Stand or fall! UTA! Up The Bees!!! 🐝 🐝

King Charles II, James May and Brian May wigs, Albion squandering a bunch of chances and Leeds fans being homophobic and aggressive. Standard!
Joining Russell to discuss the matters of the day were Jack Phillips and, making his debut on the pod, his dad Graham.
Albion snatched a draw from the jaws of victory in the dying minutes and those minutes really were dying! as yet another team that should’ve been put to bed…..weren’t!
Stand or fall! UTA!

We stuffed ‘em! Ooh yes! ManUre have been overdue this from us and boy did we oblige! It could and probably should have been more as Albion romped to a 4-0 win which keeps them 9th in the table.
Russ requisitioned some of his usual ‘Noisy Boys’ and others besides - including We Are Brighton’s Scott McCarthy - to give their views and capture the mood on this magnificent day in the club’s Premier League history.
Listen out for some Albion fans in the background shouting “SIU!” in the WSU and a ranting Man U fan at The Nelson during our post match drinkies 😉
Stand or fall! UTA! SIU!!!

The return of the prodigal son! Yes, Wedge’s middle son George was back from Oz for the first time in over 2.5 years and went straight from the airport to his Dad’s waiting car at home in Bedfordshire for the trip to Molineux. 33 hours journey wasn’t going to stop him and what a game to pick as Albion blitzed their hosts 0-3 (it should have been more!) as they marched on to 9th in the table! Your intrepid host Russell came along for the ride. Couldn’t miss George’s first game back on his extended return stay in Blighty!

Well, that’s two home games unbeaten in a row and we scored goals from
open play at The Amex….yes, really!!!
Home match bogey boys Saaafmptn came to town and pegged us back after we had strutted into a two goal lead. Casting an eye each over these happenings were your regular hosts with the most Russ and Pete, plus pod regular Andy Bass. In part 2, the pod squad looked over the weekend’s other football events as the various divisional run-ins hotted up and made their predictions / declared their preferences for the PL ups and downs.
Stand or fall! UTA! It’s an Archbishop Desmond!
