A two part pod this time, with some of the usual suspects down the pub post match, then a two-hander on Zoom with your resident hosts, describing how against all odds ;) we lost a game of football in early 2022!
Stand or fall! UTA!

In this mini episode, Russ and Pete spoke to Harriet Prior from The Anfield Wrap ahead of The Reds visit to Brighty this weekend. Harriet talks about her Liverpool-supporting backstory, how it’s been in her time up in that great footballing city since joining The Wrap and what her thoughts are on the big game.
We only briefly and gently mentioned relegation battlers Everton in passing ;)
Stand or fall! UTA! Once more unto the breach, dear Seagulls!

With Russ moonlighting at the Sussex derby at The Pan Siro (The Dripping Pan), Manchester’s finest, Alastair, took up the reigns to bring all the talk and atmos’ from Albion’s long trip north to face Britain’s now least palatable club at St James’ Park. At least the Geordies Al spoke to were as friendly a bunch as always so fair play to them.
Stand or fall! UTA! Down with sportswashing!

It’s back in The Zoom Room for a post match review pod featuring Russ, Peter and Andy K.
After hearing the matchday thoughts from some usual suspects including a welcome return to the UK and the pod for Basel based Tipsy Tim Palmer, Peter, Russ and Andy dissect Albion’s frustrating performance in more detail before looking at senior team development in general this season and glancing at the loan progression in The Championship and other matters.
There is also time to have a pop at FIFA, Leeds, and Steven Gerrard!
Stand or fall! UTA! Standing with Ukraine. Peace and love! F*ck you, Putin!

After the pain and frustration of a dreary failure against Bogey Boys Burnley FC, we need cheering up, so it’s time for the second part of our initial conversation with club prez and all round Albion legend (should be Sir) Dick Knight.
In this part, Dick covers B*ll Arch*r, helpful David Davies and his less helpful colleagues at the FA, an outrageous bond requirement, Martin Perry, prising control of The Albion, Dick’s Crawley Town FC proposal, fan power, Arch*r’s football club affiliation revealed, Fans United & THAT Hereford game, dreams of a brave new future, Brian Horton and his Priestfield era players (including the regaling of the legendary Gary Hart transfer deal story) and the importance of connecting with the fans.
Stand or fall! UTA! The Dick Knight in shining armour!

A combo episode this time incorporating our latest Fanzine Special with the Burnley Matchday Special.
Russ met the creator and the co-editors of the recently started Dogma Fanzine, a publication of high production quality dedicated to the subject of Albion fan culture, celebrating all the quirks of the great city of Brighton & Hove and looking at football culture in general. It’s great and they were good value, talking us through their Albion stories and the genesis of the fanzine.
We then had the pleasure of a chat with Stateside ex-pat and friend of the show Jon Bradshaw aka The Brighton Bard, who was over to visit family and take in the game (bet he wished he hadn’t done the latter!!!), before embarking on an over optimistic look ahead to the Burnley match which of course turned out even more disastrously than usual games against them down in dear ole Brighty.
Finally there was the agonising dissection of what went wrong! Hey ho!
Stand or fall! UTA! Please go down Burnley, you annoying b*st*rds! ;)

Our friends in the north, Alastair and Nick, provide their views from Old Trafford as Albion were robbed of the best chance of a deserved result due to VAR’s re-writing of reality to ManUre’s benefit, pressuring ref Peter Bankes into sending off Lewis Dunk. So it’s a case of same sh*t, different day for the good guys!
Russ then popped on to have a mega rant!
Stand or fall! UTA! Down with conscious bias! Down with unconscious bias! And down with backboneless or misled referees, whichever applies here!

The Matchday posse were on the loose again, this time in sunny-ish Hertfordshire, to witness Lewis Dunk’s 350th Albion appearance, a clean sheet and another win on the road as Albion extended their unbeaten PL run to a new record 7th game. What’s more they’ve still only lost one game on the road all season in the league.
Russ, Dunc, Andy K, Alan, Simon T (giggling away!), Wedge, Ian, Courtney, Ahmed, Alison and, making his debut on the pod, her brother Phil, all featured, along with a post match appearance from Dom and a cameo debut appearance at FT from ‘fan of the show’ Rob Gilbert - pleasure meeting you, sir!
WARNING: There is a teensy bit of naughty language uttered within this pod.
Stand or fall! UTA! Oi, Roy, you’re getting sacked in the morning!

The BRP has reached an epic milestone with this, it’s 200th episode. To celebrate this event, regular co-hosts Russell Guiver and Peter Marsh invited onto the pod a genuine club legend and club saviour: the one, the only, Mr (should be Sir, really!) Dick Knight.
In this first episode we talked through Dick’s early days becoming an Albion fan, listing his team heroes, favourite memories of those earlier days and about how he retained his love of The Albion through the years, despite the distractions of his career in advertising that led him to travel thousands of miles back and forth across the Atlantic.
We also talked Arch*r and B*lotti, the war years, Fans United and much more.
Stand or fall! UTA! Dick Knight, the man, the legend!
