In this episode we brought on Sheebo for his debut (unless you count a previous incident of drunken singing in the pub at Brentford away!) to tell us his Albion story and his opinions on the recent Chelsea trip. We then welcomed back to the pod the Greater Manchester massive of Nick and Alastair to give us their first hand accounts of Albion’s magnificent first ever victory at Goodison Park, where the side ran out 2–3 winners. Double Mac and cheers! as Ali Mac’s brace won the day.

The boys also acknowledge the premature retirement of the club’s former PL regular Davy Propper, at the age of just 30.

Look out for another episode later this week previewing the West Bromwich Albion game and also welcoming to the pod another debutante, Scott McCarthy from We Are Brighton.

Following an exchange of views between media present Albion fans and Albion CEO / vice chairman Paul Barber this week, Pete and Russ got their teeth into the matter and to put it bluntly they were both solidly in one camp over the other!

Once that gentle little discussion was put in the bottom corner Graham P came under the spotlight again regards the post match boo comments from last week. There was then a ‘coming together’ when Pete reiterated his view that the Albion coach, while certainly good, is overrated. Russ made a robust challenge and handbags ensued. Luckily the players shook hands and had a beer or three. (Good job this clash was on Zoom otherwise there might have been fireworks!!!!)

Also on the agenda was the Ashworth to Newcastle and Weir to Everton possibilities, the disasterously badly scheduled Boxing Day evening game and the prospect of an enormous number of ‘no shows’, the legendary Sergio Aguero’s retirement announcement, a focus on Leeds CEO Angus Kinnear: arch hypocrite and fellow contemptuous figures Brady, Parrish and Purslow, “if at first you don’t succeed fail fail again”, flopping royally on The Price of Football Quiz and Pete Marsh: Harbinger of Relegation Doom! Oh and there’s a nice rant about refs, especially as pertaining to immune from punishment England players call Harry!!!
