Russ and Pete welcomed Raymond The Gent back to discuss an extraordinary turn of events at the weekend.

Albion went one down and then came back to draw 1-1. Yes, yes, we know. It’s utterly fanciful stuff but it’s true we tell ya! Really, it is, honest! Oh and Watford sacked their coach again. Next you’ll be telling us night follows day follows night! Ha! As if!

Yes it’s the weekend when we brought the Albion curse to Worthing Fc’s Woodside Road ground on the Saturday and then saw Albion fulfil their obligations and notch their first 1-1 draw in a whole 5 days! 12 down and 6 to go as they march seemingly without hesitation towards a 38-game top flight record for draws in a single season.

Meantime Watford got buttered at home by revivalists Norwich, leading the owners to change their first team coach Claudio along with their own underwear. A new dawn, a new day, a new coach!

Also we talk FAB, season tix, substitutions and The Swedish Adam Virgo!

It’s Brighton / P*lace time! It’s not a derby, it’s a rivalry!!! Quit your branding efforts, Media!

In this precursive chat ahead of the big kick off, we invited the opposition on again to get a feel for the mood in the run up to Friday.

On this occasion Russ was delighted to welcome on Amy Latter, a life long P*lace fan (boo, hiss), former Selhurst Park cheerleader (hooray!) and now mother to a little lady who at 3.5 months old becomes our youngest ‘guest’, in her cameo role!!

Under discussion: life as a P*lace fan, the crunch games v Albion including ‘that’ game, the easy home wins for both sides, Russ’s mate missing all three goals in the St Patrick’s Day Massacre match, the pantomime villainy roll call starring Wilf Zaha, Neal Maupay, Lewis Dunk and soon likely to star Michael Olise.

We also whinge at the derby branding attempts by outsiders, give our score predictions and welcome Amy’s tiny tot Zara to the show! It got rowdy at the end!!! ;)

Scott gives us his Albion story, describes the genesis of WeAreBrighton and his other football writing developments, reveals his curious drink-based half-time matchday ritual and waxes lyrical about his new found ‘best friendship’ with Paul Barber ;)

Then, 1hr and 7 mins later, our new chum, FA Cup expert Phil Annets, joined us to look over this year’s competition so far and what he’s looking forward to from the famous 3rd Round of this year’s event.
