On June 23, 2021, Britney Spears spoke at a status conference for her Conservatorship. It was a rare moment in open court, broadcast for the media and the world to hear how she was feeling. She spoke clearly and quickly as if she was worried she wouldn't be allowed to get all of her statements out, or that she wouldn't be heard. It's clear that in 13 years of this conservatorship what the #FreeBritney movement has feared is largely true. What Britney detailed is heartbreaking. Her lack of autonomy has been widely speculated on and she detailed it painfully. I would love to hear your thoughts on social!
