As an example to what the Restoration has contributed to our knowledge of God, We turn to Lectures on Faith, as taught in the School of the Prophets in Kirtland, Ohio.

Four temple connections will help us better understand the covenants of the temple.

We each belong to 3 families: The Family of God the Father; the Family of Christ; and our earthly families. To make the third one eternal, we must fully embrace the first two.

Truth was restored in the order of it's importance. The greatest truth of the Restoration is the truth restored first: the nature and identity of God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.

Our journey through mortality includes traveling through the telestial and terrestrial worlds. To enter the celestial world, we must let go of all things telestial and terrestrial. In the temple, we find help to leave the terrestrial world and enter the celestial.
