August 4th is the birthday of the United States Coast Guard! As the Brothers in Armchairs Podcast are your friendly neighborhood "Coasties,” we want you to join us for our Coast Guard Day celebration!
For our celebration we invited 3 guests to help highlight the United States Coast Guard. Our guests will share a little about themselves, talk about their careers, tell us a few stories, and lend us their opinion on our feature film, 2006's Coast Guard themed film "The Guardian.”
Our 3 part series is as follows:
Part 1 - "The Pilots." Brian and Jim are two Coast Guard pilots currently on active duty. Both were kind enough to join us for an interview and share a little about themselves, their career, and a couple of great stories.
Part 2 - "The Swimmer." Jason retired recently after a 25 year career as a Rescue Swimmer. Jason, too, was nice enough to join us for an interview, tell us about his personal life, his Coast Guard career, and share a couple of stories.
Part 3 - "The Guardian.” Everyone jumps into the reviewers’ chairs to discuss and review The Guardian. What makes this review special is that we have real life Coast Guard pilots and a rescue swimmer to talk about the events of the movie as it relates to their experience.
We really hope you enjoy these episodes as much as we did recording it.
Have a great Coast Guard Day!
