Their parents showed them the way to playing music in their waterside hometown in Maryland, amidst a culture that seemingly straddled the North and South. More recently, TJ has come out as one of the only openly gay musicians in country music and the brothers have lent their name to a rye whiskey as part of a partnership with WhistlePig Whiskey.
