Bryan Weber's path to becoming the associate head coach at Stony Brook has a couple of unique twists. Bryan was a high school English teacher. He quit his job and earned an opportunity to volunteer at Akron. That summer he went to the Rising Coaches Conference and met Chris Caputo who would go on to become his biggest mentor. After going to work for Caputo a year later, Bryan decided the best way for him to move up the coaching ladder would be to get out of college basketball.
