Bucknuts Morning 5: An Ohio State athletics podcast

Are Ohio State's players motivated to win the Fiesta Bowl over Notre Dame this Friday? What about this game should the Buckeyes be optimistic about? Matt Baxendell stops by for that and much more.

What should and will be Adolphus Washington's punishment for a citation for solicitation? Might he miss the Fiesta Bowl? Bucknuts contributor Jonah Booker, aka JBook, joins host Dave Biddle to discuss that, quarterback recruiting, and even some Ohio State basketball.

What happens when the top quarterback on your prospect board gets the chance to spend quality with many of the other commits in your fold?

We will find out this weekend as Dwayne Haskins will take an official visit to Ohio State alongside a number of future Buckeyes.

Among the other visitors are the nation's top athlete prospect and a hard-hitting defensive player committed elsewhere that could see a change in his future plans.

Your plan is simple: Enjoy the BM5ish as we bring in 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong to spread some wisdom ...

We know Ohio State is looking for a replacement for defensive mastermind Chris Ash. Who are some top candidates to replace him? Furthermore, are the Buckeyes also in the market for a new offensive coordinator? Who might it be if Tim Beck is let go? Brandon Castel drops by to share knowledge on that, quarterback recruiting and Ohio State's match-up with Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.

Recruiting has certainly gotten hot and heavy.

Everyone remembers Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State's original quarterback target in the Class of 2016. The Maryland commitment could be making an official visit to Columbus soon. Could he flip?

The Dean of Midwest and Ohio State recruiting - our very own Bill Kurelic - joins us to shed some light and we lay out one scenario that could drastically increase the chance Haskins ends up in Scarlet and Gray.

Also, will Antuwan Jackson pick the Buckeyes or Auburn on Dec. 17? And what other defensive tackles have piqued Ohio State's serious interest.

And finally, with Chris Ash headed to Rutgers how hoes that affect Ohio State?

Come along for the ride on the BM5ish ...

Are you excited about Ohio State's matchup with Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl? Or are you upset that the Buckeyes dropped to No. 7 in the CFP rankings and were passed over for the Rose Bowl? Duane Long joins Dave Biddle to give his take on that, who Ohio State's next defensive coordinator will be, whether OSU will fire Tim Beck and more.

It's a simple question with perhaps a complicated answer: If Clemson or Alabama loses Saturday, will Ohio State make the College Football Playoff?

Steve Helwagen stops by to discuss that, give the most-likely bowl scenarios for the Buckeyes if they don't make the CFP, talk about 2017 OSU commits Danny Clark and Todd Sibley leading Akron Hoban to a state championship, and chat a little bit about Ohio State basketball.

It's Thursday and that means our weekly visit from 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong.

Ohio State is getting back in the quarterback business with the Class of 2016. What gives?

Two Michigan stars appear headed elsewhere.

Could the Buckeyes get back in the mix with several high-profile prospects?

We bring in the man with the answers ...

Matt Baxendell joins Dave Biddle to talk CFP scenarios for Ohio State, Chris Ash perhaps leaving soon to be Syracuse's head coach, Big Ten awards, Ohio State basketball and more.

There are many burning topics surrounding the Buckeyes right now and we try to tackle as many as possible with the inimitable Duane Long.

What changed vs. Michigan?

What should be done with the offensive staff?

Are we on the verge of a staff exodus?

Should Ohio State be in contention for the College Football Playoff?

We needed almost 20 minutes to get it all in so sit back and ready yourself for an extended BM5.
