PRIORITY Q&A

Somebody (KoFi)

Hi Ian, I got caught up on IDW Sonic and I enjoy what you're doing with the Deadly Six and think they have a neat roll as villains in the series and want to know what your mindset was when writing them. As now they have some kind of depth to them now thanks to you.

Scruffymatt

Hey fellas, hope you're both having an excellent day!

So how about that Sonic Symphony? It made my heart so happy! What were the highlights for each of you? Was there any music you were hoping for that was overlooked?

Happytimes (KoFi)

So nice to finally see Mighty, Ray, and the Hooligans again! Writing for the characters of the classic series, did you learn anything about how Sega wants to portray them that differs from their Archie selves, like how Fang uses his original name instead of Nack?

N'Oni

The statue breaking part [of time-frozen victims], does that instantly, fully kill them, or is their mind still stuck in the void with the knowledge if time was returned, they'd instantly die?

Andrew D.

What happened to the Shadow Androids after they killed those Diamond Cutters members?

Digamma

Can you just talk generally about your experiences writing the 30th Anniversary Special? Any fun behind the scenes facts?

AWF

So, now that Sonic Revo has come and gone, what did you think about it?

Feed (KoFi)

If you were given complete creative freedom to crossover Sonic with the Rabbids what would you do. Don’t be afraid to go crazy.

Scurvy Piratehog (KoFi)

In issue 41 of IDW Sonic. Out of curiosity..How many people die? ...

And Speaking of the Zeti...It seems like all they want to do is just "Destroy" things...is that the difference between Zavok and Eggman?

SonicSonicsSonic

Dose tails even own anything in his workshop since no political system means no legal system or can someone just go and take it ....how can police exist without a political system. If there is a village chief in windmill village how dose that work if there is no political system involved ...How do city’s in sonics world function without a political system

PRIORITY Q&A

Speed Weed

So, have either of you played Hollow Knight by chance? If not, I highly recommend it, great metroidvania, but if so, how do you feel about that dark souls-like troupe of NPCs giving off dialogue for world-building in a depressing bug game like that? And also, what would be your favorite aspect of the game, world or lore reason included, if you have one?

Finally, are you all for the eldritch abyss or the eldritch living gods of the world? That last part is less of an overall hollow knight question, more of a very specific hollow knight question to satisfy my burning desire to discuss those obscure bits of hollow knight lore.

Diane W.

What were you go-to kids channel to watch your favourite shows everyday; Fox Kids, WB Kids, Cartoon Network, or Nickelodeon? I know this isn't really my place to ask since I'm British, I mostly grew up with the likes of CBBC, and CiTV, but because I've been watching videos from a YouTuber about the shows that they've grew up with, it got me curious hear what shows or TV channels people like you grew up on. Thanks.

STANDARD Q&A

Recently, we found out about something that Batman cannot do, which has caused a bit of a stir online becuase "heroes don't do that." Ian (and Kyle, if you'd like), consider the major adult characters of your various works. Would you consider them "selfish lovers?"

SkullxCake

Will we ever see Dr. Eggman and Dr. Starline teaming up again in the future? Or are they done for good?

breezy

are you two fans of NiGHTS in any capacity? there was a brief run of a NiGHTS comic back in ye olde archie days, do you think if SEGA gave the order you guys would try your hand at it? (or any sega series for that matter, like billy hatcher or space channel 5? a handful showed up in worlds unite and i think they have comic potential)

PC-The-Unicorn

What's the rule in regards to Vanilla fighting?

AwesomeCakester

If you could see or be involved in another side story for IDW Sonic on characters that aren't Sonic, who would you like to see?

Pentagon

Can people used the chaos force to prolong thier lifespan and slow down their aging process

PRIORITY Q&A

Scruffymatt

Imagine that one night Iiuzaka-San kicks down your door, grabs you by the shirt, and says, "Ian my child, we're making a fighting game starring only SEGA characters. It's like Super Smash Brothers, except it's totally not Super Smash Brothers. Also, I want you to decide on the character roster. Ask your friend Kyle to colllaborate with you on this." And then he drops a smoke bomb and vanishes into the night.

So, which SEGA characters will be duking it out on the fields of honour, and who will fail to make the cut?

Renard

I was rereading Mega Man #53 recently and came to the grim realization that at some point before Mega Man 7, every Robot Master from Mega Man 1 would likely be decommissioned. This made me wonder...just when and how were you going to play this out? How would it affect Rock and company, do the Robot Masters just accept this without question, and how was it going to hit Rock when he witnessed Wily making off with Guts Man's deactivated body, fighting it as Guts Man G, and then probably destroying one of his longest lasting family members for good?

I truly adore the way you handled the existentialism in the Mega Man comic, I feel you perfectly managed to make the series a little bit more than "blue robot kid fights old man, old man apologizes, repeat" without making it feel like it forced in any way.

Diane W.

On a previous BumbleKast, you stated that Knuckles wouldn’t be allowed to use his Archie exclusive powers and abilities in IDW because… well, it’s his Archie counterpart’s abilities. Can he still use his other abilities such as Massive Heat Knuckles Attack, and Thunder Arrow, and his Level Up items like his Shovel Claw, and his Hammer Gloves, in IDW?

ScurvyPiratehog (KoFi)

This year not only marks Sonic’s 30th but also the 30th anniversary of Dr Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik! Could you maybe just gush about him a little? How he’s evolved how He’s the best Sonic villain, the perfect arch-enemy for Sonic, and...just celebrate The mad genius we love to hate!

Speed Weed

So, now I got something to ask about Mega Man, given a question that was asked a while back about the connection between Ra Moon and the Star Droids:

It's a massive Q&A fest to celebrate 50 episodes of Q&A goodness!

PRIORITY Q&A

N'Oni

What would it be like working for Dr. Starline? Are there any dangers one should be aware of working for him? How quickly is the door locked behind you?

Diane W.

How would’ve Sticks handled the Black Arms invasion, the Shattered World Crisis, and the War to Take Back the Planet, but not all at once?

Jib

You’ve gotten so many “disappointment” questions about Shadow it’s a bit of a bummer. So I was curious to hear what you like about Shadow, and if there’s anything with his current portrayal that you do enjoy writing with, or witnessing being written with him. Maybe any moments in IDW too with him with that you enjoyed?

Scurvy Piratehog (KoFi)

Aside from Sonic, Eggman's other two most prominent enemies in comic history seems to be Zavok and Naugus. How do you think those two would get along? Would they like each other? hate each other? And who would win in a fight?

Scruffymatt

In the old SatAM cartoon, Robotnik had a habit of calling Sonic a "miserable rodent." This struck me as a bit odd, as Sonic is an incredibly upbeat character. Sure, he had his moments of sadness from time to time, but the only character in that show I would say was miserable was Snively (and possibly Antoine). So what's the deal? I mean... did Robotnik not know what that word means?

Jeff G (KoFi)

I'm a long time Sonic comic collector. I stopped when the Archie series went away, but I'm getting back into comics again thanks to your show! Question: How do you show off all these excellent books? It kills me to keep them in a longbox...

AWF

Breezie. Archie comics. Robot or not?

Andrew D.

You’ve spoken on multiple occasions about how SEGA would disagree on something that clearly was plausible such as the Master Emerald effecting the Chaos Emeralds. In those instances, have you ever attempted to call them out on their mistake by providing examples and asking what exactly was happening at that moment instead? I understand not wanting to bite the hand that feeds and that it is SEGA’s property, but I wonder at times if they just need a reminder is all. Unless they’re aiming for a retcon. Personally,
