Welcome to Episode 0027, where the Bums kick things off discussing the highly complex nature of the Gregorian calendar (Eddie, we’re looking at you), a complete reversal in optimism around the death spiraling Chicago Cubs, the White Sox march on (injuries and all), trade-deadline chatter,  former Chicago Bears QB Erik Kramer’s attempted suicide (CTE nearly claims another victim), Scottie Pippen’s scorches the earth to promote a tell-all book, the yeah-boo effect of recently named NBA coaches who are also professional domestic abusers, and the Bums discuss a recent Deadspin article, which masterfully recounts the messy ice that Chicago Black “Eye” Hawks brass have zambonied for themselves.

In Part 2, the Bums celebrate (again) the shifting of B.O.M. HQ to Paddy’s Southside Cave, the end of WWII and an infamous scene (and true story) from the movie Jaws comes back to life in the form of an old time newspaper (courtesy of Eddie’s Mom), the Bums celebrate Independence Day as Paddy’s kills it in another segment of IDNKT (I Did Not Know That), scumbag, serial rapist and accomplished Mickey Slipper, Bill “Pill” Cosby is released from jail at the hands of COPA’s fucked up judicial system, and the impossibility of unwinding our country’s capitalistic penal system.  Something for everyone.
