In today's episode, I am joined by Katja Pischel (a tech industry veteran, entrepreneurial founder, storytelling expert, and best-selling author), who is on a mission to help female entrepreneurs tell their stories.
Everybody has a story worth telling. And, especially as entrepreneurs, being able to share it in a compelling and inspiring way creates credibility and trust - as evidenced by this episode.
"Life is never going stop happening to, with, and for us, so how can we (with self-compassion) be in what is vs. constantly fighting with reality and resisting it, thinking we should be somewhere we're not, faster than we're going, with different results?"
Listen in and be inspired.
Then, grab Katja's Signature Story Blueprint: https://bridgebuilderforchange.com/signature-story-blueprint-founders/
And her book, And Then Life Happened.

As a former senior executive in the tech industry with a start-up background, Katja has seen again and again that at a certain point in time, successful female leaders ask themselves: “What’s next?” and “What do I really want to do with my precious time?”.
In 2014, this question marked the beginning of her own entrepreneurial journey that led her to leave Microsoft at the peak of her corporate career and start BRIDGE-BUILDER FOR CHANGE.
Today, Katja is on a mission to accompany >1000 senior female leaders from corporate on their way to start their own (part-time) business, redefining success and happiness on their terms. She helps them build their brand and signature story as entrepreneurs, define their clear position in the marketplace, and develop scalable offers they can sell with ease. As Germany’s TOP Personal Branding Expert for female leaders in tech, Katja has worked with over 300 leaders and senior professionals, helping them build and communicate their brand for more visibility and effectiveness, ultimately creating the career they deserve.
She is the author of the bestselling book And Then Life Happened. By bringing together the inspiring, real-life stories of seven powerful women from five countries and three continents (including her own), this book has been created to help women navigate their own health crises while continuing to advance their careers or lead their businesses, and live with purpose.
When Katja isn’t working, you’ll find her on top of a mountain hiking or skiing, at the beach in Sardinia, reading a book, or on her meditation cushion – practicing the art of equanimity.

In this week's episode of Coach Business, I am joined by Catherine Van Wert, who wanted some live coaching around the thought she was having that "it's taking too long."
My hunch is that we've all been there! So often in business building (maybe even most of the time), we are not where we want to be yet, but we know where we're going and have a goal in mind.
When momentum, adrenaline, and flow are hard to come by, we can still enjoy the road - that is the point!
The pace of life and how we feel about it is a big part of living.
When you are going slow at the pace of the choice you made for your life, it doesn't get much more empowering than that.
And we can always ask: What would help you enjoy it a little more?

"If you chose it, go for it!"
It's your job to talk about what it is you're great at so people will know. What do you need to do to be loud (louder than is probably comfortable)?
That's what we're talking about today.
I want you to feel the impact of getting to do the amount of work you're here to do, for the people you're here to do it for, especially, because there are plenty of people out there being loud who suck at what they do - and you don't.
Hiding out and hoping for the best is not a strategy, and it's a bummer because then we all miss out!
If this resonates, get out there and get loud (make sure to tag me so I can cheer you on (@caryngillen). Then, check out my membership for coaches on their way to consistent and sustainable 5K months: https://caryngillen.com/comfortable-in-business/

The trick with Facebook and Instagram Ads is taking advantage of the opportunity to grow your business in that way without throwing money away.
If you're not quite sure what that looks like or have wondered if you're ready for ads or ads management, listen in on this conversation with Ads Manager and Online Business Strategist, Kwadwo (sounds like QUĀY.jo).
In it, we discuss:
- Building profitability and impact (not just your list size)
- How to make sure you have a good ads funnel
- The simplest framework for ad copywriting (to ensure you're bringing in the right folks)
- The equation for figuring out cost per lead
- The nuance around all of this and how to make it work for you
Listen to our conversation, then grab Kwadwo's Ad Testing Cheat Code here (https://quayjo.thrivecart.com/ad-testing-cheat-code/) to bring in the highest quality clients at the lowest cost.

This month marks year 15 of my coaching business, and I want to celebrate it not by talking about what I've done but what's normal.
Most of us who are coaches really like and want to do this work. We want to be coaching! One thing that really gets in the way of that is seeing so much puffed-up business metric marketing and other BS that makes you feel bad about why you're doing this and what you want. Those things are beautiful, relevant, and exactly right FOR YOU.
Don't let other people's goals and metrics (especially for selling you something) become your goal. Take what you need and want seriously, make it happen, and leave the rest behind.

In this episode, I am joined by Life and Mindset Coach for women, Missy Frisch.
We coached on the thought she was having - that I bet many people can relate to - "I am not clear."
The thing about these unhelpful thoughts, business blocks, and saboteurs is that they're never specific enough. They create these stuck places but have no real definition or meaning, and when we poke at them that becomes clear.
Listen in as we do some live coaching and Missy shifts from "I am not clear" to "I know this person!"

In this episode, I'm sharing about breaking the rules that are keeping you stuck (like with your email newsletter for example).
As small business owners and coaches, we make up rules around so many things that don't require them.
My intention with this episode is to help you think through one area of your business right now that's feeling a little sticky...
What are the rules you're making up around that?
Do you like them?
What's possible without them?
Thanks for listening! I hope this was helpful and (if it was) that you share it with a friend who could also benefit.
We need you out there doing what you're doing!

In today's episode, we're talking to Change Coach, Nicola Holmes aboutwomen and power- more specifically growing more deeply into your power in midlife.
Women tend to take up more space and claim their power later in life (when they have less patience to conform and decide they want more for themselves, the world, etc).
What's something not normally perceived as powerful that makesyou feel powerful? We'd love to know!

"I want to see your guts in your offers."
In the last episode, we discussed opt-ins, freebies, and lists. Here's why: You have to give people something to bounce off of - to get to know you and whether they want to work with you.
What are you naturally good at or passionate about? How can you use that to host something people want, that is worth telling their friends about?
The goal: Make something worth sharing AND share it!
