But Make It Hallmark

Chinggay and Patty are back for Season 2 and are kicking things off with the Hallmark Channel’s banner show, “When Calls the Heart.” They run through the good, the bad, and the ugly, discussing new neighbors that bring diversity, old storylines that deserve to be retired, and frankly, the only significant plotline of this new season: Elizabeth’s love life. Plus, Hope Valley gets its own dose of F*ck, Marry, Kill.

Chinggay and Patty wrap up Hallmark’s 7-Day Thanksgiving event with a dud, a too sweet for words fighter pilot, and a dashing Gene Kelly Fred Astaire dreamboat that stole the show. Hallmark actually delivered on a musical movie, plus we finally bear witness to Lacey Chabert’s best performance yet.

Chinggay and Patty trudge through three movies, feeling like they were scraping the bottom of the Hallmark barrel. And yet, they find reprieve in spinoff movie ideas, campaigns for secondary characters, and a lesson in how even the worst grinches can get their own “godwinks.”
