In this episode, we have the pleasure of having Remy Wallace share his thoughts on the intersection of acting and authenticity. He grew up in Philadelphia and lived in NY, Los Angeles, and now in Charlotte, NC. Early in his professional career, he chose to quit a promising corporate job in the sports industry to pursue acting and filmmaking. He credits that decision to the many miracles that have taken place since. He and his wife, Natalie, are now full-time parents, partners, and entrepreneurs with huge dreams and aspirations to live a less traditional path while making a massive global impact.
Acting is about being believableYou bring a part of your own self into every roleHow real do we get with our kids?Practicing empathy every dayKnowing when you’re not being authentic in real lifeEmotions and releasing them appropriatelyBalancing micro and macro authenticityWe all want to be authentic AND we’re all actingWhen being authentic isn’t worth itHow you do things vs. what you do is importantWhile acting on stage, there are no repercussions to letting looseBe honest and bold about who you are
