Buzzn The Tower

Having devised an ingenious plan to skip school, popular high school senior Ferris Bueller can't wait to put it in motion. And as his lovely girlfriend Sloane and neurotic best friend Cameron tag along, an exciting, no-holds-barred adventure through Chicago begins. However, there are so many ways to go wrong--reckless Bueller now plays with fire. For instance, Ferris' vindictive sister Jeanie knows her little brother is up to no good. As if that weren't enough, Ferris' ridiculed Dean of Students Ed Rooney already smells a rat, and he is determined to make the chronic truant remember his name for the rest of his life. But first, Rooney has to catch Ferris in the act. Do they have what it takes to ruin Ferris Bueller's day off?

After a string of bizarre bank robberies in Southern California, with the crooks donning masks of various former presidents, a federal agent, Johnny Utah (Keanu Reeves), infiltrates the suspected gang. But this is no ordinary group of robbers. They're surfers -- led by the charismatic Bodhi (Patrick Swayze) -- who are addicted to the rush of thievery. But when Utah falls in love with a female surfer, Tyler (Lori Petty), who is close to the gang, it complicates his sense of duty. 'Twas the Tuesday after Christmas and all through the recording studio, not a creature was recording not even a word that rhymes with studio.

What says Christmas more than an episode spent reminiscing about all of the movie collectables we want under our tree. Naughty or nice, today on Buzzn The Tower we're making our list, checking it twice, and we're gonna tell Santa what our favorite collectors items are from our favorite 80s Christmas movies. About two years ago, Buzzn The Tower had the absolute honor of having Rebecca Tickell on the show. If you don't know who Rebecca is, let me refresh your memory. In 1989 there was a movie called Prancer. It's about a farm girl who nurses a wounded reindeer she believes is one of Santa's, hoping to bring it back to health in time for Christmas. Her holiday spirit inspires those around her, something her disheartened father is having trouble understanding. You might remember her father, Sam Elliot, from such movies as Road House. And as far as the little girl with shine in her eye and Christmas in her heart, that's none other than Rebecca Tickell playing the role of Jessica Riggs. Two years ago we were lucky enough to have Rebecca on the show and now we have our first Buzzn The Tower holiday tradition! Each year we will dust off our interview, and give you all the pure joy of hearing from Jessica Riggs herself! Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

It's A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, Home Alone, The Santa Claus, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Die Hard? Yes that's right, John McClane, Hans Gruber, and Sergeant Al Powell are in the same conversation as the Grinch, Clark Griswold, and Kevin. Or are they? And if they are, what are the long reaching ramifications of such a proclamation. Today on Buzzn The Tower we step away from our typical light hearted banter and address one of the most controversial topics we have ever tackled, is Die Hard a Christmas movie? I'm Mo Shapiro and joining me as always the sugar, enriched flour, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, polysorbate 60 and yellow dye No. 5 to my otherwise healthy diet, Max Sanders. And with that...

After his little brother, Jimmy (Luke Edwards), is put in a mental institution, Corey (Fred Savage) breaks him out and the pair run off together to California. On their travels, Corey meets a girl named Haley (Jenny Lewis) and discovers that Jimmy is a master at playing video games. With talents like his, he could easily win the top prize of $50,000 at Video Armageddon. While the three travelers hitchhike to the competition, the boys' parents hire a bounty hunter to track them down. Today on Buzzn The Tower we talk about a movie close to my heart, the 1989 video game fantasy, The Wizard. I'm Mo Shapiro and joining me as always the Sega Genesis to my Nintendo, Max Sanders. And with that...
