If you're sufficiently old, you remember when talk shows were The Thing.  Everyone loved them, everyone talked about them.  Kind of like sitcoms back in the 90s.  Times have certainly changed for both of those genres, and time has not been kind.  Then again, horrible partisan writing has also not been kind.
