  • Embracing Regret: Making Peace with the Past

In this episode, we dive deep into the complex emotions surrounding regret. I open up about my personal journeys of coming to terms with past decisions and the lessons learned along the way. From lighthearted childhood examples of missed opportunities to pivotal moments I wish I could undo or do differently, I explore how regret doesn't have to be a burden but can instead become a powerful tool for self-discovery, growth, and self-acceptance. Through candid conversation, I address the shame associated with having regrets. What are your regrets? Whether you're navigating your own regrets or simply reflecting on your life’s path, this episode offers comfort and a reminder that it's never too late to make peace with your story.

  • Imposter Syndrome

Feelings of self-doubt, inadequacy, and the fear of exposure has always felt like a mountain standing before me. Have you ever thought to yourself that one day you'll miraculously wake up free from this fear ... just to find yourself dealing with it years later? Have you ever thought: 'if one day this fear didn't exist, I could literally take on the world!'

In this episode, I talk about how difficult it has been for me to confront this head-on. If we really take the time to reflect on our battle with imposter syndrome, we'll uncover the initial experience(s) that caused this to become a hinderance in our lives. While it may be enlightening to uncover what moments caused a significant blow to your self-esteem, it may not heal the pain it caused. It may not heal the areas of our hearts which -- years later -- feel justified in overworking itself to feel an eternal sense of being "good enough". But what if this pursuit has caused you to feel like you've constantly come up short? What if that false perception of not measuring up has caused you to become so fearful of failure and harsh criticisms that you rob yourself of opportunities that you're fully capable and qualified for?

  • The Pressure to Perform

The desire to feel seen and accepted is something we know all too well. We've all felt compelled to tap dance and perform for others to fit in, be more palatable, and well-liked at some point in our lives. When it becomes a habit, it's hard to recognize who we actually are, who we want to be, and how we desire to show up in our everyday lives. In this episode, I unpack how this pressure bled over into my faith walk which frustrated my relationship with myself, God, and my faith-based community.

  • Promise Unfulfilled

Have you ever received a prophetic word and found yourself believing that word would come to pass? It might seem impossible, but because you received a prophetic word, you just attached your faith to it so that it could come to fruition. If it’s God, then why not trust Him! What happens when time passes by and that word still hasn’t become realized? Perhaps you’re dealing with the shame, embarrassment, and disappointment in having believed in that promise for “so long”. Perhaps you think it’s time to just let it go and move on so that you don’t have to keep dealing with the heartache and pain of believing in something that has remained unfulfilled. In this episode, I talk about all of this and even how it greatly affected my relationship with God. Not only did I severely struggle with the ups and downs of belief and unbelief -- I lost my desire to seek the voice of God. I was so afraid of questioning everything and hearing incorrectly that I thought it was better to just stop seeking God's voice altogether.

  • The Runaway Bride

Fear of intimacy and romantic relationships, do we all experience that fear or is it just me? In this episode, I admit that there were parts of me that felt I was unworthy of experiencing unconditional love. I feared the idea of a man knowing and seeing my authentic self, so it felt safe to hide, cover, and mask all of it. To take it a step further, it felt even safer to run away from intimacy altogether.

Have you feared dating and marriage but at the same time, you wanted to believe that it was possible for you to be in a loving, committed relationship? Maybe it isn't necessarily intimacy that you fear but it's fear of rejection and abandonment? Maybe it's a lack of self-love and not knowing that you are indeed worthy of love inspite of your imperfections? Get comfortable so we can unpack this thing TOGETHER!

  • The Fem-In-Me

In this episode, I dive into the topic of femininity and my own struggles with grappling what it means to be feminine and what it means to be a woman. I talk about my experiences of receiving harsh, unwanted criticisms from others growing up and how it not only tainted my self-esteem, but made me feel like I didn't have a right to be feminine or a woman.

  • What's This All About

Cafe du Mondy will take you on my journey of labeling, verbalizing, and processing my emotions and experiences that have heavily impacted me over the years. On this podcast, I will give an inside look on how I’ve used audio journaling as a way to identify unhealthy thoughts, perspectives, and behaviors, as well as explore their roots.  It has helped me to soothe painful emotions and resolve internal conflict that left me feeling stuck. The greatest reward this has given me is placing me on the path of uncovering my true identity through self-therapy. Maybe you’ve been afraid to start taking therapy because it’s foreign or it’s not something you can afford at the moment; that shouldn’t deter you from doing the internal work until you can seek professional help. By spilling my own tea, my hope is to encourage others to understand the power of audio journaling and its ability to enable self-discovery.
