Call An Adult: A Pretty Little Liars Podcast

Ashley and Hayley are joined by animator, illustrator, storyboard artist, improviser and goof king extraordinaire Dale Anderson to re-cap the PLL season 1 finale, "For Whom The Bell Tolls"! While Ashley basks in Hayley and Dale's true love, they discuss the concept of snow globes in the PLL universe, go on a very long word association run that ends in the conception of the new automotive company Suba-Hoobastank, and Dale asks the age old question "why is Ian here?" Also, love is sent to the Italians repeatedly and there is big talk about The Big Dong.

As they watch the penultimate episode of season 1 "Monsters In The End" Ashley and Hayley are joined by friend, comedian and most importantly, SCREENWRITER HUNK Jayden Masciulli! They discover the elite social media platform "Website Page", can't help but notice how Mrs. Ackard steals the episode by being a sneaky sneak, and compare Jackie Molina's profile picture to that squinty meme of Miley Cyrus (you know the one). Oh, and it's the dang FOUNDERS FESTIVAL IN ROSEWOOD, Y'ALL (which basically just means there are carnivals and one too many clowns, ugh).

In this episode of the pod, Ashley and Hayley recap episodes 19 & 20 of PLL: A Person of Interest and Someone To Watch Over Me. They marvel over how Jenna is manifesting superpowers through her fiction writing, the beautiful beginning of Spoby and the ooky spooky Owl necklace that brings Haleb crumbling to the ground. This is also the episode where the girls compare the HORRENDOUS karaoke scene to that of Caitlyn Jenner on The Masked Singer (aka, an embarrassing catastrophe).

After some nutella induced audio issues, Ashley and Hayley are back with a very exciting episode. While recapping episodes "The New Normal" and "The Bad Seed", the girls applaud all things Chaotic Byron, make housewives-esque taglines for each of the Liars for the fictional show "The Real Teens of Rosewood" and LOSE THEIR MINDS at THE shower scene with Caleb and Hanna. They also create two unnecessary scales of comparison - shum vs prum and soft cover vs hard cover.

Ashley and Hayley are here for all the pool related content in episodes "If at First You Don't Succeed, Lie, Lie Again" and "Je Suis Une Amie", but they are NOT here for the foul play by the water (psychopath, more like psychoPAIGE!) The girls discuss how concerning it is that A is compared to Hitler in one scene, The Infamous Bead Lady and that the Montgomery's are in Sausage Heaven! Also, two important developments happen in this episode: Spoby begins to form, and it's discovered that Chad Lowe has fish lips.

Ashley and Hayley welcome listeners into two very important PLL era's while recapping "Know Your Frenemies" and "Careful What U Wish 4": The Blackmail Era and the best era of all, THE CALEB ERA! They also begin the ep with "Foot/Hand Corner", discuss the infamous Unaccompanied Ice Cream Minors, and celebrate Sean finally being cut loose after becoming a literal cuck thanks to A! Oh, and Aria and Ezra profess their gross love to each other but that's more of a blip than something to celebrate.

While recapping "Moments Later" and "Salt Meets Wound", Ashley and Hayley beg the PLL characters to get their shoes off the furniture, discuss Mona's $1000 bra, and they ask the important question "how do these girls masturbate if they're being watched by A 24/7?" This episode includes a special guest cameo from Ashley's mum, and the star of these episodes, Bad Acting Flashback Party Girl.

Ashley and Hayley watch the mid-season finale, "Keep Your Friends Close" with special guest, writer, comedian, podcaster, artist and PLL virgin Millie Holten! They revel in the show stopping character Mrs. Potter, reiterate that liking old movies is NOT a personality trait, criticise how Hanna is unrealistically hit by a car and ask the question "why is there a massage station at Mona's glamping birthday party?"

As they cover season 1 episodes "Please Do Talk About Me When I'm Gone" and "The Perfect Storm", Ashley and Hayley ask the age old question "Why is Detective Wilden allowed inside Rosewood High School without a warrant?" They also obsess over Ashley Marin going to see Transformers 2 in theatres alone, how Alison was straight up just a bad person, and the iconic moment where Noel Kahn had to wait for his crazy bread.

While asking the age old question "Who the hell is Chris Pizinni?!" Ashley and Hayley cover sister episodes "There's No Place Like Homecoming" and "The Homecoming Hangover" centred around - you guessed it - Homecoming! They get excited over the arrival of Lucas, an actor playing a painter who deserves multiple Emmy awards, and recite the phrase "Toby Crash Bike" repeatedly. Meanwhile, they shake their little heads at Mona being transphobic and cruel, Aria's poor decision making, and throw in many references to the 2004 psychological drama "Mean Creek".
