the gang is back to continue through the Tom Delonge and Travis Barker extended universe that began in the blink-182 episode. People don't realize how much the jump from blink's Take Off Your Pants and Jacket record to their beloved untitled album that followed actually makes complete sense as long as you listen to the s/t album from Box Car Racer that released in 2002.

BCR was a side project that Tom started with the intention of proving to himself that he could wright songs on his own without relying on the rest of blink. he forgot shortly after and got Travis to play drums just because he was the best drummer Tom had ever played with. so really, he just wanted to tell Mark to cuss of and not sing with him on an album. but then he forgot again and had Mark featured on one of the songs on the s/t record.

shortly after he realized the project was a failure, kicked out Travis and changed the name to Angels and Airwaves because his daughter's name is AVA or something.
