Hrdy begins by explaining what a trade secret is and when trade secrets are protected and can be enforced. Then she discusses exceptions to trade secret protection, especially the "general knowledge, skill, and experience" exception. She explains how it differs from the "generally known" exclusion, and why it is important to understand those differences.
