Campfire: Tales of the Strange and Unsettling

In 1967, George and Helen Ackley, along with their four children, moved into their dream home in Nyack, New York. This stunning eight-bedroom Victorian was built in the first decade of Nyack’s existence with a gorgeous view of the Hudson River. Little did they know, they would go on to forge a working relationship with the ghosts of their home that would last more than two decades. This week, we’ll tell their story and get to the bottom of why it has become essential curriculum for first year law students all over the United States. With a name like the Ghostbuster Ruling, we’re left with only one question.

A cold winter's night in south Wales back on February 26, 2016, was anything but ordinary in one Welsh town. In a scene equal parts terrifying and theatrical, multiple witnesses reported seeing a huge UFO and other lights along with military planes, helicopters, a chase, explosions, shaken buildings, an apache helicopter landing with its cockpit on fire, weird snow, and mystery men in white overalls, and damaged trees and wreckage in Pentyrch. The activity was explained by the authorities as an Armed Forces exercise known as 'Chameleon'. Many still believe it was something out of this world, claiming to have spotted unidentified lights which did not conform to the normal idea of a military aircraft. Was this an extraordinary show of strength? Some interdimensional misstep? Mass hysteria? Above all, we’re left curious about one thing:
