Testosterone is one of the most abundant and essential hormones for women. Traditionally thought of as a man's hormone, testosterone fuels the brain, bone, muscle, mood and sexual vitality of women. Prior to the onset of the menopause, and even while the menstrual cycle and fertility remain intact, testosterone levels in women can decline to a point that creates symptoms including; decreased sex drive, increased mid abdominal fat, depressed mood and increased irritability among other problems.
