Speaking to Nghamula Chauke, the Department of Social development's Director responsible for Child Rights Advocacy, David Chabalala said that there were 207 child marriages in 2021. Chabalala said this remains a huge concern to the department despite a decline on the numbers because the goal is to record zero child marriages in the country. The shocking figures as supplied by Statistics South Africa were presented to the African Union Special Rapporteur, who is in the country to assess the country’s progress in its drive to end child marriages.

Labour Expert, Osborne Molatudi says employees should not abuse sick leave. This follows a case of a SARS employee who was fired for having lied about being sick and got caught attending a political party public protest. Molatudi told Nghamula Chauke that it is important for employees to give honest reasons for their absence at work and take appropriate leave.

The Limpopo Department of Education is refuting claims by the Economic Freedom Fighters that it is paying 2 salaries for 1 principal position at Seshigo High school. Speaking to Nghamula Chauke, the departmental spokesperson Mike Maringa says a former principal who was dismissed successfully legally challenged the department and won a case for his reinstatement. The department has since redeployed him to the district level and has appointed someone else in the principal position during the intervening period. EFF Limpopo Chairperson Tshilidzi Maraga insists that the department has replaced the other principal with someone who will be controlled and be used to push hidden agendas.

Speaking to Nghamula Chauke, National Union of Mineworkers's National Health and Safety Secretary Masibulele Naki raised concerns about the safety and emotional wellbeing of truck drivers. This follows incidents of burning trucks in Limpopo, Mpumalanga and KZN. The onsite consumption of liquor in restaurants, nightclubs and taverns across Limpopo have no choice but to adjust to the new law effective from the 1st of August. Limpopo Economic Development and Environment MEC Rodgers Monama told Nghamula Chauke that the Limpopo Liquor Act will ensure that night clubs, taverns, shebeens and restaurants that sell alcohol are closed by midnight. He says this will also serve as another method of reducing the skyrocketing GBV numbers in the province.
