On this week's political analysis feature, Nghamula Chauke had an in-depth conversation with Economist and Political Commentator Moeletsi Mbeki about his opinion piece. Mbeki opined that ANC nationalism, like that of the NP, is behind SA's socio economic decline. This is how the conversation went.

Nghamula Chauke speaks to the Human Science Research Council's Clinical Projects Director, Dr. Shannon Bosman together with Treatment Action Campaign Limpopo Manager Daniel Mathebula about HSRC's concern regarding the uptake of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis saying it is lower than the council had hoped.

Lepelle Northern Water board Chairperson Dr Nndweleni Mphephu said from the date of the board’s appointment, they have stabilized the organization's finances and improved from a deficit of R44 million to a surplus of R94 million.He says this is because of clean governance and introduction of cost containment measures. Dr Mphephu also took time to give a much-detailed update on the incomplete water projects across the province that have seen the growing frustrations in communities which often result in protests.

The province of Limpopo is known for its water scarcity issues and the ANC says it can never be right that people have to suffer so much in terms of accessing drinkable water. In some rural areas, people are still found to be sharing water with animals. The party says there are some projects that have been launched that seek to provide people with water but have been marred by stalling tendencies. ANC Limpopo Spokesperson Jimmy Machaka spoke to Nghamula Chauke and this is what he had to say:

More and more people find themselves agitated or confused by the implementation of loadshedding saying that the higher the stages, the more depressed they become, while some are saying they simply don't understand what different stages mean. Nghamula Chauke sat down in studio with Eskom Limpopo Spokesperson Matshidiso Phaladi to explain what different stages of loadshedding mean and the decision behind their implementation.

The South African Depression and Anxiety Group has revealed that ongoing rolling blackouts have strained residents’ mental wellbeing. The group has conducted a study which has found that anxiety, panic, depression and isolation are what people struggle with the most during power cuts. The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research says cybercrime is costing the economy an estimated R2.2 billion rand per annum. Cybersecurity experts have given an overview of the extent of cybercrime in the country and Senior Cybersecurity Specialist Lungisani Mncwango from the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research is shedding more light on this issue as he engages Nghamula Chauke.

The ANC in Limpopo has expressed disappointment over the election of a new mayor in the Lephalale Municipality who is also a member of the party saying Councillor Louisa Shongwe was not supposed to contest her counterpart from the party Aron Mokgetle. ANC Limpopo spokesperson Jimmy Machaka says what Shongwe did is a sign of ill-discipline, and this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated in the party. Shongwe defeated both Mokgetle and former mayor Nicholas Pienaar from the DA.

Health MEC in Limpopo Dr Phophi Ramathuba has responded to DENOSA Limpopo's claims that she is harassing workers and managers at the Rethabile clinic, this comes after a video that went viral on social media where the MEC is heard raising her voice to the health employees at the facility over the issue of masks and long queues. It is understood that the MEC visited the clinic after meeting with civil society organisations who were complaining about the state of the clinic and services. One of the organization's is the Capricorn Community Forum and Nghamula Chauke spoke to the Forum leader Rev Awedzani Nemaukwe, DENOSA Secretary Jacob Molepo and Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba.
