After days of unending questions and expectations from the public around the mystery of the decuplets, the family of the reported father of the alleged children, has released a statement. The family says they have concluded that the decuplets did not exist until there is evidence to the contrary. Nghamula Chauke spoke to the spokesperson of the Tsotetsi family to set the record straight on their position....

While twins and triplets are the most common form of multiple births, there have been other cases reported where mothers give birth to more than 5 babies in one pregnancy with the recent one being a Tembisa woman known as the 37 year old Gosiame Thamara Sithole who gave birth to decuplets. Limpopo based Urogynaecologist Dr Dakalo Muavha explained to Progressive Talk listeners about causes and dangers of multiple pregnancies.

Well-known Researcher from the Thabo Mbeki African School of Public and International Affairs Advocate Sipho Mantula said that recent acts of violence that happened during a Pan African Parliament sitting recently are a clear indication that Africa is not united, and this is where the African Union has to come in and urgently address problems facing the continent. South Africa has experienced a spate of cases of mob justice and vigilantism. Recently there were cases reported in Tshakuma, in the Vhembe district and another very well publicised case in Zandspruit, in Gauteng. Police Minister Bheki Cele has taken full responsibility for the police's failure to protect victims of mob violence while responding to the Zandspruit one. Nghamula Chauke had a panel discussion with Limpopo Police Spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, Limpopo Community Police Forum Chairperson Frans Kgasago and Criminologist from the University of Venda Ndivho Sithuga and they all agreed that there is a need for communities, SAPS and all stakeholders to work hand in hand in fighting crime as this will help in preventing cases of vigilantism.
