We’re more than halfway through our Church in the Wild series in Acts, what a ride! Throughout our series, we’ve seen God move in wild ways—houses shaking, the lame walking, the bound set free, the dead raised, tongues spoken, and prophecies declared. But does God still work like that today? Is Acts just a history lesson, or is it a blueprint for how we’re meant to live—naturally supernatural?

Evangelism is a tricky thing, isn’t it? 

On the one hand, it’s something that can seem so foreign and uncomfortable to us (in part due to some really bad examples we’ve gotten). And on the other hand, it’s something that we often see reserved for a select few who God has called for that purpose.

In Acts chapter 20, Paul makes what shouldn’t be, but often is a stunning revelation: that the job of evangelism belongs to all of us. In fact, as believers, it is THE race that we are called to run.

So how do we overcome the various obstacles that stop us from testifying? 

That’s what we dove into this weekend, while also reframing our view of evangelism so that we learn to see it in the correct light and hold it with the significance that it deserves. Tune into this week’s message called, “Outta My Comfort Zone”.

This Sunday, we dove into Acts 19, where Paul brings the Gospel into one of the most idol-filled cities in the ancient world: Ephesus. It’s a wild and powerful story where revival breaks out, but not before the truth challenges the culture head-on.

We talked about how idols aren’t just golden statues or ancient gods. They’re often good things we’ve given ultimate value like success, relationships, family, comfort, security. And while they may promise peace, they can’t deliver like Jesus can.

We unpacked how easy it is to let the good things in life quietly take the place of God and how Jesus lovingly calls us back to something deeper, freer, and far more lasting. Tune into this week’s message titled, “American Idols”.
