Carla Atkins and Vickie Stout were murdered at the young age of 14 and 16, in Dover, Tennessee. The Fall of 1980 in a small town doesn’t set the scene of a huge cold case murder, but it happens. Carla and Vickie were siblings and while walking home from school on September 17th, 1980 they stopped for snacks at a corner store called “The furnace” where witness saw the girls talking to a man in a blue truck. 18 days later on October 5th, the bodies of Carla and Vickie were found at “Land Between the Lakes” off Highway 79 where the sisters were last seen.
