Questions surrounding the status of embattled Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule continue as Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports reported that the organization is "eyeing" former New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton. McCarthy said that the Panthers might be willing to wait a year while the former New Orleans Saints head coach recharges his batteries on TV. Should the Panthers target Payton? Would New Orleans be willing to trade him to a division foe? Is a potential first or second-round pick too much for Payton? Would Payton even be interested in Carolina?

The talk continues about the Panthers potentially adding a veteran QB. Matt Rhule reiterated that the Panthers would not say no to a veteran option at this time.
