Sometime in the early morning of Friday, February 3, 2006, in Tallahassee, Florida, 30 year old Ali Gilmore disappeared from her residence at 231 Loraine Court.
Just hours before — that previous day — everything had seemed to be normal. Ali went to work at her day job at the state health department as an analyst, then attended her part time evening job at Publix, as a baker.
We know she made it home, got in bed, was reading her prenatal book because by now she was four months pregnant. Sometime after that things went dark.
It was out of character for her because Ali missed a scheduled appointment with her estranged husband, she didn’t attend work, and things just got quiet. There has been no sign or trace of Ali for 18 years to today.
This case is not what it may seem. Ali had support, she had friends, a husband even through their issues, her parents, but there is something missing. There is a piece of the puzzle that we know is there, but finding the connecting piece is the challenge — a possible motive and a person of interest. I’ll tell you one thing, it wasn’t her husband, James.
