I am joined by Andy of Notable Nostalgia to talk about the first episode of The Simpsons EVER, and it just so happens to be a Christmas episode as well. We had a blast going in depth on this one, enjoy! Homer is forced to become a department store Santa when Marge spends the family's Christmas savings on removing Bart's tattoo.
This time I am joined by Allison/Past Foot Forward to talk about one of our favorite nostalgia shows, Full House. Obviously, I had to talk at length about Mary Kate and Ashley and just where they disappeared to. We get peak D.J. and Steve drama and Kimmie in a leopard print unitard, this episode is perfection. Happy Holidays! While Michelle and Stephanie are busy making extra long Christmas lists, other members of the Tanner household are not feeling so cheery. Danny misses Vicki, Rebecca misses the white Christmases of her childhood, and DJ worries that she will miss Steve after he decides to attend college on the East coast.
Special guest Ali from Notable Nostalgia joins me for this very Topanga Christmas episode of Boy Meets World. I love to hate it and I know you will too! What ever happened to baby sister Morgan? Who is the Cinnamin Toast Crunch guy? Real Christmas tree or aluminum? So much to ponder this holiday season and a fun round of IMDB reviews, enjoy!
There is nothing more traditional on Thanksgiving than the appropriation of native culture and that's why it is finally time for Twilight. Ryan Cownie the comedian and actor joins me as we begin the harrowing saga that is the Twilight movie franchise. We try and recast every roll with Rob Pattison and I come down a little too hard on Kristen Stewart. I hope everyone is ready to get way too high and quote nonsensical Shakespear lines! Happy Thanksgiving! (Sidenote I will fix the season and episode numbers at a later date, maybe <3)
We all loved All That and The Amanda Show and maybe you've been thinking "what ever happened to Amanda Bynes anyway?". It's time to talk about Amanda's controversial conservatorship, the #Free Brittney movement and for some reason Christy Carlson Romano and Dan Schneider. Buckle up!
It's time to kick off fall with one of the most nostalgic movies of the 90's right along with one of the most nostalgic 90's podcast hosts. Say that ten times fast! I'm joined by Joey of Big Orange Couch the 90's Nickelodeon podcast and we basically just gush over this rom com gone dot com for over an hour. We reminisce about the early days of the internet and try to think of a host of actresses to replace Meg Ryan along the way, enjoy! Book superstore magnate, Joe Fox (Tom Hanks) and independent book shop owner, Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) fall in love in the anonymity of the Internet both blissfully unaware that he's trying to put her out of business.
Brett is back to talk about this legendary episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark. In this episode we talk about what makes a great episode, and how the sound design can be the final nail in the coffin. I hope you guys are ready for some unexpected visitors! Two teenage boys contact aliens through a computer where they arrive to meet their communicators, and so much more. Good old Perch and Jeff are in for the night of their lives!
Max and Bird are back to talk about the sexy 1987 sleeper hit The Witches of Eastwick! Also a special announcement!
