The word, “meta-narrative”, is a fancy sounding word describing our foundational assumptions (rarely questioned) that weave into story form in our thinking. This story --and it's particular assumptions-- influence how and why each one of us see and interpret data, events, and experiences the way we do. They affect how we see God, ourselves, our relationships, and every aspect of our lives. To grow requires that we are aware that we have meta-narratives and that we are humble and open to having them challenged as Holy Spirit leads us into all Truth. Join Pastor Larry McKnight and myself for this fascinating and profound discussion.
