March 30 marks National Doctor's Day (as well as National Something on a Stick Day!), and March 25-31 is National Physician's Week. These are generally occasions that are "celebrated" with swag (mugs, paperweights and scarves, oh my!), and/or pizza or doughnuts, perhaps a card or an email. And how many of us turn these gestures into weapons, resenting them as signs of our (low) value? The only ones who really lose here, are us.
In this episode, I share a way to start to change this for ourselves, to start to choose to feel differently about these kinds of gestures, as well as little gifts from patients.
And hey, if you want a party, plan yourself and your Physician friends a party! Why not?
