The Celtics (37-16) returned to the road once again Saturday night and came away with a (131-104) win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.  Once again, the Celtics avoided losing 2 in a row for just the 2nd time this season.  The Celtics are 2-0 against the Knicks and 15-1 on the season after a loss. The Celtics never trailed at any point in the win and their largest lead was 35 Points in the 4th Quarter.  The Celtics were without both Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday.

Scoring Leaders: Jayson Tatum scored 19 Points in the 3rd Quarter and led all scorers with 40 Points.  Payton Pritchard hit 6 3's and scored 25 Points.  Pritchard scored 14 Points in the 2nd Quarter and 11 Points in the 4th Quarter.  Luke Kornet had a Double-Double with 14 Points (7-for-7 FG) and 12 Rebounds.  Derrick White hit 4 3's and scored 17.  The Celtics had 6 players reach double-figures.

#'s of the Night: The Celtics are back to a season-high 21 Games over .500 for the 2nd time in 3 Games.. The Celtics are 7-1 over their last 8 Road Games.  It was Tatum's 2nd 40-Point Game of the season.  He had a season-high 43 against the Chicago Bulls on December 21.

1st-Half Nuggets: The Celtics never trailed at any point in the 1st Half, led by 17 in the 1st Quarter and led by 18 in the 2nd Quarter.  Jayson Tatum hit 4 3's and scored 16 in the 1st Half. Payton Pritchard hit 3 3's and scored 14 Points in the 2nd Quarter for the Celtics.  Boston hit 9 3's in the 1st Half and shot 50% overall from the field in the 1st Half.

Up Next: The Celtics travel to Miami and are set to play the Heat Monday night.  Boston beat Miami, 108-89 at TD Garden back on December 2nd.  The Celtics are home against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, February 12 to wrap up before the All-Star Break.
