Jesus loves you in the mess, so He can save you from the mess. Come home to the One who made you on purpose and for a purpose.
We have to realize that to get through the pain, we have to feel our feelings and work them out alongside God. When we take it to God, we will find that he isn’t trying to make us suffer; he is ready to be with us through the suffering.
Constant busyness and worry have a way of making us weary, but Jesus offers a better way. In this message we are encouraged to trade our burdens for His rest and to get back our margin.
When we follow our own dreams in life disappointment is inevitable, but following God’s dreams will always connect us to His purpose. Pastor Herbert Cooper warns that obstacles such as details, adversity, selfishness, and haters can get between us and our dreams, but there is too much on the line for us to give up.
You don’t have to give up your dreams, but you can give your dreams to Him, and let God move and work and take you from a place of I can’t… to we can. Jesus is your assurance!
People often romanticize the past, but through faith, God can make today feel like the good old days by bringing back your peace.
Following Jesus often means leaving other things behind. The Bible records three people who had the chance to move toward a better life, but instead got lost in excuses. In this message, we’re encouraged to release the things that hold us back from the greater freedom found in Jesus.
What can give you a greater life? Do you need to cut loose and enjoy yourself more? Or is it time to clean up those bad habits? According to Jesus, the answer is His grace. As you follow Him, you move from ‘stumbling in the dark’ to walking with ‘the light that leads to life.’ Jesus leads the way to a greater life.
The disciple Peter swore that he would follow Jesus even to the death. But when the time came, Peter denied knowing Him. Later, when the risen Jesus restores Peter, He does not ask for a one-time, heroic act… but asks Peter to meet the daily needs of people. The greatest love is often found in keeping the smallest promises.
“How can I get even more than what I have?” When Jesus is asked this question, He responds, “follow me.” Jesus can lead us into greater wealth, but not before He teaches us what true riches look like.
